You have to remember Etcheid came in cold without warming up at all from 3rd base. Believe me, I'm everything but a Ryle homer, and from what I've seen, if Etcheid has time to warm up, not necessarily even starting the game, but if he has time to warm up to relieve Donovan and get prepared, I feel he holds NCC. He did give up a couple hits, which technically count as unearned runs after errors but he could have shut them down. The dropped ball at home was what killed Ryle.

True. But I stated in another thread that a "free pass" into the finals would be key, especially when you have Nutini coming back to pitch. I think CC would still win with Nutini but if I were Krumps I would throw Isler and have a spot waiting in the finals.

If Isler pitches today, I'm almost giving them a free pass. New Cath won't put up more than a few runs.

I don't think BW can win without pitching Smith.

I know the 10th is with the 9th and the 8th is with the 7th. Maybe 11th with 12th too. I guess maybe you could figure out the rest.

That's why you've gotta take care of business in those disctrict seeding games. Those are the only one's that matter during the regular season.

BECAUSE KRUMME IS JUST AS GOOD AS ANY PITCHER THAT ANYONE ELSE HAS IN THE REGION BESIDES A SELECT 4 OR 5! ST. HENRY IS THE WEAKEST TEAM IN THE REGION, WHILE CCH HAS THE BEST BATS TO WIN THE GAME! It's that simple. That's why they don't throw Isler. CCH's situation is COMPLETELY different from every other team. Cmon Coachg, can you not see that? :ohbrother:

I've been told it's a lot harder to wear metal spikes on their field anyways. A lot of turf fields like St. X and LexCath have dirt in the batters box and on the mound. The entire field is turf at the Freedom's park. An example of something being more difficult is when a batter is trying to turn on a ball and "squish the bug" the spikes are probably going to get stuck and make it harder to do so. It's to a players advantage to wear a different shoe. The pitchers maybe not so much because I could see a lot of slipping when following through, even when dry.

I say you go with your ace if you know you're going to be in for a tough match. If you have a weaker opponent, take your chances with your #2 or #3 because why would you waste you're best on a team that could be weaker than the team you're going to play next? You're 2 and 3 are going to have to go eventually, why not send them in against the weaker squad?

2 reasons: a) I feel Ryle is the 2nd best team in the 9th region to this day (JMO) and I think they win the 1st game. b) Even if NCC wins, I still say you throw Isler because when he's on the bump, the Colonels are nearly unbeatable, and it almost guarantee's you a spot in the finals. Not to mention, Nutini has a good track record when it comes to big games.

Fair assessment. I personally would switch the last two around.

Maybe the last 2 switched around. And maybe Nutini first against St. Henry. No one knows except Krumpelbeck.

And CovCath has extra "trainers" on their team every year. Sort of like the '07 team with Houlehan. If they have players that deserve to dress but don't have enough spots, maybe due to injury or what ever the case might be, they'll put them on the athletic trainer, or managers list.

I still think CCH throws Krumme against SHDHS. He's 7 or 8 and 0 on the mound. Who says it's a disrespect thing? He's just a very good pitcher that just isn't paid any attention to because he's behind Isler and Nutini. Many forget he beat Apollo earlier in the year, if that means anything.

If CovCath ever faces Highlands they will throw Krumme. The two weakest teams IMO are Highlands and St. Henry.

Luke has 12 HR's and is batting somewhere in the .500 range.

CovCath - St. Henry Highlands - Conner Ryle - Beechwood Dixie - New Cath This situation would be IDEAL for CCH to make their run.
