Who is going to win the 2009 Ninth Region Baseball Tournament and why?

  • Author

CovCath will win because of a combination of outstanding pitching, "D" and the best hitting team still left the Ninth Region Tournament.

What if your choice were Cov Cath or the rest of the 9th region field??

^^I would still choose the Blue Colonels.

When you say best hitting team left in the ninth region, who are you putting ahead of them that's already been put out?

Boone probably is the best hitting team in the region.

Boone could indeed hit but the "D" and the "P" were not where they needed to be, to be in the region. IMO

I figured that was you're thinking, just making sure

Boone probably is the best hitting team in the region.

No way. Just the only team that comes close to matching CovCath.

I beg to differ. I heard even Krumps thought they were a better hitting team than CCH.

Boone was a solid hitting team, and I'd say they are close, but I'd say CovCath is still the better hitting team.

Anyways...I take Covcath.

CCH is by far the best hitting team in the 9th region. Their top three hitters Maile, Darner, and Isler are probably leading the region in every hitting category. Maile has a ridiculous amount of home runs while Darner has the most RBI's in the region. I would venture to say that they both have the best batting averages as well.

Hitting isn't everything. As we know it comes and goes. Pitching followed by outstanding defense is what will get you to Applebees park.

I'll take CCH. The draw is definately in their favor and it's their's to lose. Also, it will be nice to see a team advance that has a legitamate shot at winning state.

The last part is key, IMO.

Covcath is the only team with a legit shot at doing damage down state. It would be great for a team if they could pull an upset [though I don't see it happening], but then it pretty much eliminates a shot of the state champ being from NKY.

Kinda like Holmes in basketball this year.

CCH has way to many weapons on offense and defense. I like them winning this and possibly a State Title.
