  1. Your selection of games, movies and books will be most plentiful if you buy an Ipad. I personally wouldn't think of owning any other product than the Ipad. Great product, easy to use and with the app store the possibilities are almost endless!
  2. Who would you put him in front of? Not that this is my list, but..... Hatton, McNeil, Moeves, Verst, Schulte, The Cov Cath players names are escaping me, Barker, Hemmerich, Helton, Houliston, Holbrook????
  3. I think as January unfolds there contributions will be greater than most of the upperclassmen.
  4. Great thread! We just lost our 14 year old Lab/Shepherd mix(Rex - named after Rex Chapman, of course) last week. He was a great companion to our family. We also own a Miniature Pinscher (8 yrs old) and we recently (4 weeks ago) added a boxer (4 months old) to our family. The boxer kind of became the comforter to the Lab in his last month. Regardless of which dog you choose, be prepared to have some of the best times of your life when they become part of your family. Good luck!
  5. The City of Alexandria will showcase a plethora of talent from the Class of 2014 over the next 3 years. Brossart has Trentman, Burns, Verst, Jennings and Campbell County has Holbrook, Franzen, Riley and Geiman to name a few. The Annual A-Town Showdown will make for great basketball games, as they always do.
  6. However, Hatton is the better player of the two. It's tough to find anyone with his skill set AND scorer's mentatlity in NKY, not just sophomores.
  7. Regardless of your opinion, NKY has some great talent across the board in the 2014 class. However, I find it interesting how some judge size (not just on here - everywhere). There are a couple of kids on here who aren't as tall as some say they are if they were standing on their tip toes. Everyone does it, I just find it funny. I know I always gave myself 3/4 inch to say I was 6' tall. Nothing wrong with it, very funny though.
  8. You are now my hero! I, unfortunately, travel ALOT! I hate using a GPS but it's a necessary evil for me. I use the Garmin Nuvi ($120 or so if you can catch it on sale, maybe less). The individual who narrates is named Karen, so I am constantly yelling at Karen for being wrong about directions. The last time I was in Philly, she tried to send us off the highway about 5 or 6 exits too early. No construction or traffic, so I'm still trying to figure that one out. Getting off the highway early would've added about 20 mins to the travel time. You have to be careful when using the GPS - regardless of the manufacturer.
  9. 2 words about Scott that will always make them a formidable district/region contender..... "Brad Carr". Nough said! As for Brossart, Uebel's size isn't any concern.... In fact, this summer he appeared to add some height (5' 9 - 5'10) and will most likely fit in as their PG. He's a heady court general and a threat to score. Look for CC to make it a tough 3-way race in the district. It will definitely be a fun, exciting year of hoops and I'm sure Scott will be in the thick of things come February.
  10. thats a great question for the cake town faithful, more like Coach Mueller, but if not, I'd keep McCoy as a playmaker and Drew as the conductor. It will be interesting to see how it plays out next year.
  11. I should've underlined and double bolded the "wannabe" so no one thinks I m a mastermind. Regardless, good luck to Drew tonight - hopefully the Camels give the Cougars a game. My son played at Conner (see 2009/2010) - led the NKAC in tackles that season) and he gives me grief when the Camels fall to the Cougars - which has been often.
  12. From what I've heard (only seen the Dixie game), why wouldn't Drew remain at QB and keep McCoy at an athlete position. Obviously Coach Mueller knows best, but Drew hasn't done anything to dispel him getting varsity snaps next year???? (stirring the pot......)
  13. the one that pays the bills - VP of sales for a Risk Management Consulting organization. (too much traveling, except for 10/15 - 3/15) the one that I wished paid more of the bills - Hoops mastermind wannabe (b-ball coach) ask roman or q where.
  14. When I had a Facebook account (quit the addiction over 12 months ago), I had the same avatar as I do for BGP. My mother thought it was a picture of me. Nice! I do love to draw Ligers!
  15. From the side you are a dead ringer for Tate Donovan. (Jimmy Cooper from the O.C. - not sure how or why I know that but its stored away useless information.)
  16. I was hoping to see Drew in action but I will be on a flight home from NYC. I'll be looking forward to reading the updates on the flight on BGP. Roman, Clyde - whoever has a chance - hopefully can have an Update thread, but still - GO CAMELS!
  17. I had to show some love to the Camels AND if the opposing D can come up with some mistakes it could happen....... Both Tyler's on offense can come up with plays if the opportunity presents. Blind squirrels are still finding nuts.
  18. Has Drew had his coming out party yet? If not, this game may be it against the Camels secondary. If the field is dry, this game will be a close, but high scoring affair. 40 - 35 ConnEr.
  19. As a Camel alum, I have lived through about 26 years of football futility. (except for 2 years during the 90's). It is amazing to sit in the stands and listen to parents demean the coaching staff in their first season. No support whatsoever! Let Coach Lickert "build" his program and parents should either support the program or not let your kid play. The bottom line issue is that this football program has 1 maybe 2 playmakers. Tyler Durham being 1 and whoever makes a play, the other. While this saying is very cliche, it's very true - "it's not about Xs and Os, but about the Johnny and Joes". I disagree with the coach on where I would be playing certain kids, but my opinion doesn't matter. To answer the question of the thread - I would go with the youth movement! My best sophs and juniors would play if they are the best option and get opportunities to get more playing time if they are the 2nd or 3rd best option at a position. Campbell Co. Isn't the high school sporting mecca - except for wrestling - but a 6A school should be competitive very couple years, not every couple decades. If you or your son was an athlete and you lived in Campbell County, where would you go or send them for High School? Unfortunately, a lot choose any option besides Campbell County. Figure out why and you should be the AD for life!
  20. I wear a watch and have since my freshman year of college - a few decades ago. I've owned a Seiko Kinetic, Movado Museum, Omega Seamaster and currently I wear a Tag Heuer F1. I'd love to own a Breitling but that probably won't happen until I pick the correct Powerball #s. If you can afford it, get a Tag. The best watch I've owned!
  21. Hopefully, he continues putting in the work. As every good coach knows, you can't coach size!
  22. Not sure why you can't??? Based on the 5 or 6 times I saw him play, including with the NKY Bulldogs, I saw a tall kid with limited basketball skills. Unless he is working on his game daily, he won't be a factor this year at the frosh level or otherwise. Hopefully, the kid works on developing his game and learns how to utilize his size. I have a pretty close connection to the NKY Bulldogs as well and the Indiana team you are referring to was not very good.
  23. Height / size doesn't = ability. I watched both kids play twice this summer. The fact that he didn't make the 7th grade team isn't surprising. There were 4 other players on the floor with him from his team who were better players.
