  6. Kentucky Women's Volleyball defeated Penn State 3 sets to 1.
  7. The kid injured for Louisville #2 Demeco Kennedy is a Frederick Douglass alum.
  8. Also we have on Fox Kentucky Women's Volleyball vs. Penn State at Wrigley Field. It is pretty cool to see as well. Plus we also have NASCAR at Darlington in the first race of the chase. That is not bad for a Sunday night before the NFL later this week.

  10. Interesting article on Yahoo sports about 2 hours ago. With Porter holding out, Pittsburgh could be forced to make a difficult decision on him. With the NFL season kicking off in just days, analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report predicts the Steelers will trade Porter to the Detroit Lions for a 2027 first-round pick.   11. Reds win 12-8 to win their first series at home against the Brewers in 4 years. The win all 3 series in the 9-game home stand going 6-3. They begin a 6 road trip starting tomorrow with 3 in LA against the Dodgers then to Milwaukee for 3.
  12. The Reds bats are working today 12 runs on only 1 homer and lead 12-7 after 8 innings.
  13. Reds get the win 5-3. Close out homestand tomorrow and will try to win another series.
  14. Frederick Douglass Alum Aveion Chenault has 6 catches for 53 yards and a long of 16. Also Jermiah Lowe from Douglass is on Michigan he is backup corner back.
  15. Brewers led the Reds 2-1 after 3 innings.
  16. I hope it is quick and no injuries as the Broncos still have big games with Corbin, Male, Madison Central, Bryan Station and Boyle Co.
  17. Reds and Brewers first pitch tonight is 6:40pm.
  18. The game is not going to be on Glicod (which it never worked last night at Manual) it should be NFHS Network, but in the past it has never been very or rarely works at Tates Creek.
  19. The Crimson Tide of Alabama (1-0) come to town to take on the Wildcats of Kentucky (1-0). Both teams had an easy opening opponent. The Tide defeated East Carolina 48-10 while the Cats defeated Youngstown State 45-13. This should tell us a lot about this Kentucky team. Kickoff at Kroger Field is slated for 3:30pm next Saturday it is a nationally televised game on ABC. Go Cats!!
  20. Final 45-13. The Cats get their first win of the 2026 season and the first of the Will Stein era. Next up a little tougher opponent in the Crimson Tide of Alabama on September 12.
  21. Cats pick up a 28-yard FG by Zouagui to put the Cats up 45-13.
  22. Cats score again this one on a 37 yard touchdown pass from Minchey to Darby the extra point is good and with 12:48 to play the Cats lead 42-13.
  23. Youngstown State answers back on their drive the extra point is wide so with 3:40 left in the 3rd quarter it is now 35-13 Cats.
