The NBA dropped the hammer this afternoon on the LA Clippers and Kawhi Leonard. The Clippers lose 5 first round picks and were fined $30 million dollars. Leonard was fined $700 thousand dollars.

Very interesting from the Steelers Joey Porter Jr. today. As reported by ESPN's Steeler reporter Brooke Pryor. Speaking for the first time amid contentious contract negotiations, the Steelers cornerback was noncommittal when asked if he would play without a contract extension. "I don't know," he said with a shrug. "I got to talk to the guys upstairs and my agents about that."

Yep and the heat index currently in Lexington is just 96 the real temp is 95 to be under a heat advisory it has to feel like 105 or higher and it is not even a 100 degree heat index in Louisville.

Just out from FCPS: Heat-Related Restrictions on Outdoor Activities Today, Sept. 1, Fayette County Public Schools is restricting afternoon and evening outdoor activities because of forecasted extreme heat. All after-school elementary and middle school outdoor activities are canceled. Outdoor high school activities are permitted after 7 p.m. On Wednesday, Sept. 2, all outdoor activities are canceled.

The Penguins of Youngstown State travel south to Kroger Field to open the season for the Cats. The Penguins come into the game at 1-0 with a 43-10 win over Mercyhurst on August 27th. This will be the season opener for the Cats and new head coach Will Stein. The kickoff is scheduled for 1:00pm and the game is only on SECN+. Go Cats!!
