West Carter is for real. Seems East Carter cannot get rollin at all.

Not sure I agree with this comment. Was a lot of over the backs and grabbing from Both teams. I will however agree with you that the Refs were not on their game, but dont believe it was called towards either team better than the other.

Wow, I thought Gregg was in a higher grade. Gregg and Terry are going to be special if they stay at RH.

I didnt get there till the beginning of the second half, but I made it as well. Rose Hill was better than I expected, since I hadnt seen them this year. They have some good size for their age. That kid from East Carter is gonna be a good one too I believe. Is the kid from East Carter a Sophomore? Is Gregg a Sophomore too? Adams will be a good addition as well. Rose Hill has some good young players. After watching most of the teams this year in the 16th, I think Rose Hill and West Carter will be playing for all the marbles two years from now. The Gregg kid had quite a few points. Boyd had no one that would step in his way to the basket. I hadnt seen the Terry kid play in a couple of years. Good ballplayer. I thought he played like Euton personally. Not quite as tall, but similar skills.

If having a good season record and no making it out of the regionals make the school happy, then yeah, but most teams bank their season on getting out of the Regionals. I would love to see East have a good year. They have some quality kids, they just seem to choke win the time matters.

I would like to hear the other team other than Greenup and Ashland that has a shot at beating Boyd this year? And before you answer it isnt East Carter. East Carter has been the preseason talk the last 2 yrs, but hasnt got it done.

Wonder how they finished 15th, when they were in the final 8 teams at Applebees? Worst case scenario is they were Ranked 8th.

Is everyone healthy for this game for Boyd county? I know they had some kids out with a virus last game?

I dont have a problem with a school holding a kid back for grades or because they need a year to mature, if started early. If being held back for sports, then yes I have a problem with that. I am not using any of those examples as accusations, because I dont know the reasons. Just giving you a general answer to the question. Just keep in mind I might have been asked to hold my kid back at one time, and it wasnt for grades and it might have been at a school you might be wanting to argue about.:thumb:

And still a Freshman. Everyone knows the answer to your question and will avoid it. These boys are only kids, so lets dont get too wrapped up into it. Our kids are only young once, so let them enjoy all the time they can.

Are the Elementary school teams good at Rose Hill? Feeder program good?

The only thing I have to say on this subject is RH gets singled out because they have done it more than others. I know this for a fact. That is my last comment on this subject, back to RH and Boyd.

I clearly understand that, and it is no secret. Nor does anyone have a true problem with that. It happens everywhere. Bad part about trying to prove Rose Hill's case is, they have not even beat a team with a winning record yet.

Should be 1 Freshman, 4 Sophomores and a Senior. They will definetly be good as the years go on, but I personally think West Carter will be the team to beat in 2 yrs from now.

I seriously hope you are joking. No disrespect to Rose Hill, but they are rebuilding as much as any team in the 16th Region. They will be a good team and probably one of the teams to beat in upcoming years, but right now they are rebuilding. You also state the best talent - Better than Euton, Jackson, Davis and Barker that you lost that could still be there? No way.

Come on now...Boyd is down, but Rose Hill really doesnt have their best team of all time. If Boyd plays a above average game, then they win by 4. If Boyd plays average or below, then they lose by 11.

Didnt think I would ever see a day when Boyd County was ranked in last place of the 16th Region.
