  1. From their website http://www.nkytarheels.com 14U Kentucky Select #12 - Zach McNeil #33 - Brandon Hatton #24 - Jaylen Beal #4 - Jaylen Avery #31 - Aaron Morgan #10 - Kuan Palmer #32 - Nick True #34 - Tanner Moeves #20 - Drew Barker #22 - Taylor Lee #1 - Zach McCormick
  2. Congratulations to the U11 Hoops Elite on their state championship this past weekend. I saw some very good basketball being played in this age division. Several players are already giving us a sneek preview of what we are in store for over the next several years. :thumb:
  3. All players are required to have played a minimum of four games with their respective 8th grade team.
  4. Lead was 15 at the half and stretched to 19 early in the 3rd. Two parents did have words. More to come. Same ole same ole out of Conner. Like school on Saturday, no class! They complained last year that they were robbed on their own court with their own officials. Total fouls were in their favor again for this game. Conner had a few questionable violation calls but Walton had a few no calls that could have easily been called. Bottom line is this, you have a 19 point lead and don't get the job done shame on you. Don't blame the officials. And the guy that was whining about being homered should be ashamed. Again, no class! The big kid for Walton (#50?) was unstoppable in the first half. McNeil did not play well. I know he is coming off an ankle injury and still looks rusty. You get him back on track and that Walton team cruises in this one. As for Conner, they really need a pair of guards out front. Walton turned them over at will the second half. First half Conner sliced Walton's 2-2-1 but the second half Walton went run and jump and things got ugly quickly after that. Conner's front line competed well with Walton's bigs but the difference was out front.
  5. Defense is not the question, it's the offense and their inablitity to take advantage of their great defense. If they would have capitalized on a greater majority of these possessions I honestly feel they would be up by nearly 30 at the half instead of 8. With that said, the defense is very impressive. Hopefully they can clean up some of these offensive possessions and maybe hit a three or two the second half. If they can Rick and the boys will have a long ride back tonight.
  6. Pike and Sorrell will be a good match up but I like Dixie's guards. Dixie wins this one.
  7. Walton Verona has started their season with wins over Carroll Co. and Gallatin Co. Both the 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams are looking very solid.
  8. You must have failed math. Sounds like someone else out there who can not comprehend economics. One dollar times two adults, possibly kids, grandparents multiplied by 10 plus weeks plus a tournament adds up to more than "no big difference". Personally I like the facility at Midwest just as good as SOAS and the officiating has to better then the bushleague refs at SOAS.
  9. Made it over to Walton yesterday for their inter-squad scimmage. Got there a little late but saw a very competitive scrimmage game. Looks like they could be a very solid team in the 8th.
  10. To say they are underrated might be true. However, I seriously doubt they make it out of their district.:sssh:
  11. There are some very good players not listed who have played with or against the top five listed and have performed extremely well.
  12. Who are you thinking will step up and be the backcourt for Owen?
  13. I go with my gut too AFI. I don't think any of us in an interview situation would ask a perspective coach, have you ever been known to shave points? Or, do you have any criminal background that I should be aware of? Besides, what is the guy going to say, oh yeah I did have this little murder rape that happened a few years ago but you can trust me with your kid!
  14. I would say it is about 98%! I too am talking to people directly involved and they are uncertain as to what may or may not happen at this point. They are telling me that they are simply going to let this thing play itself out and not jump the gun. We posters should do the same. I commend Walton for their attempt to keep rumors and speculation from running rampid.
  15. Still some work to do Tiger but yes it looks like Danny Trame is Walton's new head coach. Congratulations Danny! Walton is certainly on solid ground.
  16. It is very professional because that is what they have to do. Now if you mean is it fair, probably not. I agree it can be misleading and time consuming for others but such is life.
  17. Southern Kentucky Hoops had a different prespective about the Bearcats in a post on 2-8-2009. Doesn't sound like he shares your opinion about the Bearcat faithful.
