  1. Behymer & Weinrich talk constantly.
  2. Could be some of all of that. Could be they don’t mesh with new regime.... it happens. And, like you said, it opens opportunity for another kid.
  3. A few from time to time, but definitely more now.
  4. Weinrich wasn’t complacent. He coached at HHS for the love of coaching and the history of his grandparents at the school & football program. He had multiple offers through his 25 years at HHS to go other places making more money than what HHS was and IS paying. He has never made coaching about his stipend.
  5. Male & HHS scrimmaged in 2019 & was cancelled for 2020 (obviously). It was a good scrimmage. Glad to see it stayed on the schedule.
  6. Middle school PE job is supposedly for the son. Some type of office job was created for BS.
  7. I read it the same way you did. And why shouldn’t we have read it that way.....they have said & have implied for 7 years the old coach was incompetent.
  8. Yep!! Especially those players who were/are very upset about their previous coaches being let go!
  9. Why were those knocks against Weinrich? It was administration who made the decision for him to stay teaching in Middle School and supervise the cafeteria at the High School. Then the cafeteria duty was removed a couple years ago so another class in middle school could be added to his schedule.
  10. Just a thought, but maybe Coach James did ask those questions and things didn’t work out as indicated.
  11. I’m the same as you; waiting for it to be released.
  12. I was told the schedule is being changed by the AD. He dropped Boyle Co. Maybe adding McNicholas to a 1 yr deal, which messes with a 2 yr cycle. Haven’t heard if he kept Bowling Green on the schedule. Things change, so we won’t know for sure until released though.
  13. Confused.... the next year (2013), the offense was ran by Mueller. Who was the 18yr old? When did JOAT coach defense?
  14. Not unnecessary pressure because it’s what every player, every coach in every sport does every day.
  15. Agree with some of this, but some of it is being spun in a different direction than what I was talking about. I wasn’t talking about targeting to beat HHS. That is the nature of the sport and has nothing to do with years past. Every opponent should want to beat & beat soundly whichever team they are playing. Yes, there is fun in winning and should be “Play To Win”. I played sports and never thought “Play To Not Win”. No player or coach would put in the time, sweat, & tears to go intentionally lose. I have also talked to many players in past years and currently who have said the opposite. They do have fun, even in the crazy COVID practices/games. Other stuff in your post, makes sense.
  16. Highlands isn’t the target. There are some fans who have made themselves an easy target. Highlands Football will be fine when the script is finally flipped and what matters most is what matters to the players! When the players can be free to just play hard, work hard, have fun, & enjoy their high school playing years without the pressure of folks who have already had their playing days. When the players can stop seeing & hearing these folks talking negatively about their team and their coaches. Just let them be high school athletes & it will all work itself out the way it is meant to be!
  17. With the “lacking” of donations because of football, what exactly have the academics and athletics gone without?
  18. I do not know the answer. I’m sure probably more than most want to think or know about. But, it honestly doesn’t matter going forward.
  19. And you are completely wrong!! Gave access to their clinic pass, invited them to Saturday films (think Roller may have been only one to attend), open practices, did all the meetings FTJFL Pres asked him to attend, provided all information to them as requested, talked a lot with Nevels regarding training, invited 8th grade teams to pre-game activities with team....... As for his staff, ALWAYS in communication with the staff!! Long tenure staff, so not sure ignoring them would have caused them to stay. He didn’t overtake the freshman program because he wanted freshman coaches to have freedom to run their program, but he was available at any time.
  20. According to the list on BGP, Lickert and maybe, Barth, are the only NKY coaches who applied.
  21. Since salaries are public knowledge, I found it on district website, departments, Human Resources. There are multiple years of pay scales on there.
