From what my Moeller buddies tell me, the reason Crable is no longer coaching at Moeller had nothing to do with the W/L or X and O side of it. If Brossart is not back at Cov Cath next year I don't think it will be because of what has happened on the field this year. If he does return (which I think he will) he does need to upgrade his coaching staff, especially at D coordinator. It would probably also be beneficial to bring in an experienced O coordinator instead of him handling this.

I wouldn't call 118 yards passing when you rush for 263 moving it thru the air. Woodford's QB passed for over 1600 yds this year, but they only had 108 against Cov Cath. You could tell they have some pretty decent receivers after the catch. I think Cov Cath still wins, but it is alot closer.

IMO if the weather was not so horrible last Saturday, Cov Cath may not have gotten past Woodford. You could tell Woodford could move the ball thru the air, but not with 20mph winds and freezing rain.

VanSant and Deters will need to have big games on both sides of the ball. The LBs for Cov Cath are going to have to be active and minimize the missed/broken tackles. Offensively Cov Cath should be able to put points on the board, I think it will depend on how well the front 7 on defense perform for Cov Cath that will determine the outcome of this game.

You can't even begin to compare this years Cov Cath team to the 06 team. Totally different scheme, strengths and weaknesses. If the JC team is close to their 06 team it could be a long night for the Cov Cath faithful. I have not seen JC play, but from what I have heard I think the JC strengths unfortunately go against the Cov Cath weaknesses.

When I heard he quit coaching at Indian Hill I thought maybe he knew something about an upcoming opening in N Ky. But I don't see him coming over here (like Rohdenburg) until he can retire from Ohio. Also, current Cov Cath coach was one of his assistants at Indian Hill, so I would be surprised if he would take that job, which I don't think will be open anyway.

Good overall game by Cov Cath. The weather was definitely more of a factor for Woodford Co and the type of offense they run. Yesterday was not a day to live by the pass.
