  1. NKY Buldlogs 76 - Utah Pump N Run - 69 OT Jack Stewart - 15 points Bobby Stauffer - 12 points Travis Montgomery - 11 points Matt Trammel - 11 points Robbie Barber - 8 points Tyler Hodges - 7 points Chris Hayes - 6 points Jacob Flesch - 4 points Todd Vollet - 2 points This game was a series of runs from start to finish. Utah was up by 3 with 8 seconds to go and the Buldlogs missed a 3 and were able to secure the rebound and get a timeout. Coming out the timeout with 3 seconds to go, Jack Stewart hits a three at the buzzer to tie the game. The Bulldogs controlled the overtime and pulled away at the line to seal the win.
  2. NKY Bulldogs 66 - VA Assault 78 Jacob Flesch - 12 points Bobby Stauffer - 10 points Chris Hayes - 9 points Matt Trammel - 9 points Robbie Barber - 8 points Todd Vollet - 7 points Jack Stewart - 6 points Travis Montgomery - 4 points VA Assault opened a huge lead from the start with aggressive full court pressure and the help of their overwhelming size advantage. In the second half the Bulldogs hit a series of three's and cut the lead to two with about 3 minutes to go. The Assault opened up a 4 point lead and finished out at the line to seal the game. They have advanced to the finals of the gold bracket. A very good team.

  4. Cooper looked good in both games that I saw them play. They will challenge every team they play this year and beat the ones who underestimate them. Coach Sullivan is doing a fantastic job there. His guys get after it.
  5. This is just my opinion, but this does sound alot like a move for athletic reasons only and the KHSAA supossedly strictly prohibits this. Does anyone forsee problems with eligibility?
  6. Not hurting anyone's feeling, but I was curious if you would feel safer in the area of OTR where a t shirt vendor was shot last night several times in the chest for no reason at all.? Just curious.
  7. Is Covington that bad? I mean I was driving down from Clifton a couple of weeks ago and there were a few blocks that really made me nervous. I have never had this feeling in Covington. I had it once just outside Chicago also, but not in Covington.
  8. Todd Vollet. He is very under rated. He has been playing well all summer for the NKY Bulldogs. He is the guy that will get quietly get you 6 - 8 points and 6 -8 rebounds per game.
  9. Beal's sister has been playing for Holy Cross for a couple of years already. It is not surprising that he is ending up there as well.
  10. In day two, Conner beats Lloyd and falls to Scott. I wasn't at the games, but I heard Scott controlled tempo and pretty much won that game from start to finish.
  11. Conner beat Beechwood pretty easy in their first game winning by high 20's. Their second game was against Dixie and this game was back and forth until Conner pulled away late and won by 12. For Conner, Jacob Flesch and Tyler Hodges were the leaders. They got good play from Cody Huff and Carter Burns also. Beechwood has Tyler Fangman and that is about it right now. Trammel, Hatton, and Stansburry ran the show for Dixie. Trammel looks really solid. He will be a huge help this coming year. Dixie was without Zeke Pike and Conner was missing Jordan Liechty and Clay Robinson that I know of.
  12. The Bulldogs are finished until July. They will open back up with the Adidas Invitaional in Indianapolis followed by Hoopfest in Louisville.
  13. Josh Forrest was amazing as always. They played the NKY Bulldogs Saturday evening in the opening round of bracket play. It was a close game until WKY ran out of gas late. The Bulldogs pulled off a 9 or 10 point win. Jesse Anderson also looked really sharp. I think the 3 games in 1 day really hurt them.
  14. Well said. I agree the technical call was very lame. The outcome may not have been different, but I always think you do your best to let the players decide. Water under the bridge. Congrats to the S3 Davis team for winning state and congrats to the program for sending 2 to the final 4. I have a new appreciation for Mr Thelan. He takes alot of hits on here for this and that, but he is one of the best scorers that I have seen this year. Coach Price has a very nice team and I agree they will continue to get better. They are the definition of what a well rounded team should be. I look forward to being on the floor with them again in July.
  15. The state tourny is no different than any other AAU tournament. The roster you enter before the start of the tournament is the roster that you play with. (grade exceptions and cross boundry rules do apply) I beleive this number is three per team. That being said, bringing in players is completely legal. I would say that the biggest complaint should come from the permanent players on the respective teams. IMO.
  16. I beleive this was caught. I don't know exactly what happened, but I remember last year that the Truth was forced to forfeit a game or two.
  17. Who plays on the Truth teams that will help them win their pools. Without knowing all of the teams, I would have guessed : A: Team KY B: S3 - Davis C: NKY Bulldogs D: S3 - Price E: DSAS F: KY Blazers
  18. Last year they had Josh Forrest and Jesse Anderson. These two can play.
  19. S3- Davis is definately a dangerous team. I honestly feel like the S3-KY team is playing better, but I think adding Fucci will never hurt a team. This should be a fun weekend. Good luck to all the teams competing.
  20. NKY Bulldogs played the Louisville Bengals 2 weeks ago at MidAmerica. They are St. X High school kids and very solid.
  21. BA Hoyas are out of the Basketball Academy in Louisville. They are loaded. Armon Marks, Kameron Woods, Hayden Sweat, and Chancellor Armstrong. They will be tough for any team in the tournament.
  22. The NKY Bulldogs went 1 - 1 in pol play, but made it to the gold bracket by margin of victory. The Bulldogs lost the opener on a last shot 3 to loose by 2 to the Illinois Magic. 8 was the magic number to secure the gold bracket trip and the Dogs rebounded to win by 33 over the Jackson Bulldogs.. In their 3rd game of the day, the Bulldogs lost to a solid (but beatable) Grand Rapids Storm team by 8. This game was decided at the free throw line. The Storm was 22 for 24 from the line and the Bulldogs were 5 for 8. That is hard to overcome. All of the Bulldogs played hard and they had different players step up at different times. Bobby Stauffer and Todd Vollet were very consistent. Robbie Barber, Matt Trammel, and Jacob Flesch were exceptional at times and solid at others. Jack Stewart and Tyler Hodges played well. Danny Boateng and Asiel Langley were key in providing sparks off the bench.
  23. That is good to hear. It seems in the past that the number of teams has been dropping off. Nky Bulldogs will be there. Thye should have everyone present by then.
