  1. The NKY Bulldogs are all local High Schoolers and will be playing at Midwest Hoops in Florence at 9:00 P.M. Friday.
  2. You could almost hold a free tournament and make your money off of parking and admission. Tourny note. The NKY Bulldogs will play Friday night at Midwest Hoops against Showtime Basketball? and again on Saturday at 5/3 against St. Louis Prophets.
  3. No disrespect taken, but as far as local talent at the U17 level, I believe the NKY Bulldogs to be one of the best. As far as travel goes, this tournament was booked before the Knights tournament was announced or the Bulldogs would have been there. They did it last year and finished really well.
  4. Chris Hayes had a very nice tournament and has been a pleasant addition to the NKY Bulldogs.
  5. Sounds like a great tournament. The only team missing was the NKY Bulldogs who were representing NKY very well in Knoxville. They knocked off some very talented national teams to go 3 - 0 in pool play and only lost by a single point in the sweet 16 to an extremely big and talented Augusta Power team from Georgia. They will also be playing in the Bearcat Classic next weekend.
  6. KnoxVegas Heat The NKY Buldlogs lost to the Team Power from Georgia 68 - 67 in bracket play. The Bulldogs were led by Bobby Stauffer with 16, Matt Trammel with 15, and Chris Hayes with 13.
  7. The NKY Bulldogs finished pool play at 3 - 0 with double digit wins over Jacksonville Nets and Columbia Hoyas. The Bulldogs were led by Bobby Stauffer, Jacob Flesch, Chris Hayes, Jack Stewart, and Todd Vollet.
  8. The NKY Bulldogs knocked off the Greenville Tarheels 57 to 41 in the opening round of pool play at the Knoxvegas heat. They play this afternoon at 2:45 against the Jacksonville Jets. The Bulldogs were led by Bobby Stauffer and Matt Trammel who each finished with 13. The Bulldogs looked really good with a couple of nice dunks by Tyler Hodges and Jack Stewart.
  9. NKY Bulldogs will be in Knoxville next weekend for the KnoxVegas Heat Invitational.
  10. Allen was having an offseason surgery and would forgo AAU this year and I had heard that Barnett was going to run track this spring.
  11. Stauffer had 16 in that game. Not sure about rebounds. Although I have yet to see anyone who intimidates Stauffer. He plays with more fire than anyone I have seen in NKY. I also find it really hard to believe that Ryle gets the win with an intimidated Stauffer.
  12. I think everyone is confused over what I mean. Could Hodges go play D1 basketball tommorow. No of course not, but does he have the potential to play after next season? Yes, of course so. It will take alot of off season work on strength and skills, but when I say potential, I mean that he could legitimately play D1. Everyone is looking at his junior year for comparison. I am looking beyond his senior season. Now he may have other interests in staying home, off the court or whatever that prevent him from even playing ball at any level, but when you have a kid at 6'8" or 6'9" with the basic set of skills that he has, the potential is definately there and I would argue that with anyone. He has had good genes open the door for him, now he needs to walk thru it.
  13. Agreed! Add another year of growth and experience under his belt also.
  14. All I know is that Elijah Pittman is not my determining basis for a D1 potential athlete. Do you think that Coach Tyndall at Morehead uses the Pittman method when determining a player's potential or Coach Bezold for that matter. Pittman was a good athlete, but there are so many other intangiable assets that a player can posses to get them to the next level.
  15. I never said that he was guaranteed. I said he had the potential to play D1. Having the potential and not are two different things also. Being 6'8 - 6'9" helps alot. Nothing is a given, but if he works hard and develops he has the potential. A 5'10" power forward might as well give it up, but I am not counting out a 6'8" small forward. On another note, NKU is one of the better D2 schools in the country. I don't think any of the NKY kids would mind picking up an offer from them.
  16. NKY Bulldogs that I know of. Flesch, Robinson, Hodges - Conner Stauffer, Vollet - Ryle Stewart - Highlands Trammel - Dixie Montgomery - Boone County
  17. Agreed. Potential is there. He still has a summer and a Senior season left.
  18. Yes the Bulldogs will be back with all NKY kids again. As always, I am sure they will surprise a few people here and there.
  19. I disagree. For one, Hodges plays center for Conner. His natural position would be a small forward. Sure he will get pushed around. He is 6'8" and maybe 170 pounds. Given the fact that he plays center for high school, has anyone really had the option of seeing him defend qucker guards on the perimeter? I have actually seen him defend guards over the summer and he may be a little slow footed, but I know that it is practically impossible to shoot over the 7'2" wingspan. His outside shot is there. He will still need to get stronger and work on ball handling, but that is what summer is for.
  20. Are there any tournaments this weekend and where is everyone at on the 10 & 11?
  21. Conner should be the favorite in the 9th followed closely by Dixie and then Boone. IMO.
  22. It looks like Mr. Ford may be moving operations to Tennessee. He is still organizing the KY Hoopfest though. A very nice tournament in July.
  23. The 9th loses alot of experience this year. It should open the for alot of players next year.
