First, give credit where credit is due. A few years ago Williamsburg executed their gameplan and Corbin didn't. They won fair and square.
Next, I don't feel Corbin has anything to prove to Williamsburg. In my opinion, redemption would be beating NCC in the playoffs not beating the Jackets.
Also, I think Corbin fans feel like the Hounds would beat the Jackets most of the time. Would you expect anything else? The Jackets wouldn't go into a game thinking they were going to lose so what's the difference?
Finally, saying that Corbin gets credit for things they don't accomplish is a little bit of a stretch. If the Hounds do get credit for anything other than winning district, regional, or state titles then I can assure you that its meaningless to Redhound fans and players.
