It's classless to yell at kid like that yes, but it's not super classy of JJ to brush off a handshake with people watching. It's good it was patched up though, and I'm sure JJ was just upset at the time.

I gotta agree. Im glad they patched things up as ETA said, but I'd be a little bit annoyed if a player acted that way. I'm sure the kid didn't intentionally elbow him ya know. Wasn't there though.

Honestly, he is probably right around 5'11. Maybe 6'0 with shoes on. You have told me time and time again youre 5'10 lol. I know youre not 6'0, and if you were, if he was taller than you he'd be at what like 6'1 or 6'2? That would be a pretty legit height. I still think Riley is the best PG around here. But his height is obviously what is keeping him from d1 looks.

Noooo. lol Maile got up there. He got him as he was coming down to throw it down. And as for the Maschinot ordeal. He isn't the only one making TO's, true. He is probably the best option at this point, true. I'm saying in order to be successful in the next two years, he has to drop the one handed push pass and start using his left hand.

I have watched every JV game with the exception of like 2 games I couldn't attend. So obviously you're not right in basing that off my comment. I have not noticed him having problems with traps, any more than anyone else, so maybe it just didn't stand out. As far as the passes go, I don't know if he has more assists than turnovers. I do know that his one handed push pass and some questionable decisions on passing have cost him and the team ALOT of turnovers. As I said he'll be fine in the next 2 years, especially once he works those issues out.

Honestly, youre probably right about the trapping issue, however Reidinger seems to do fine with that in JV. Not sure how he would on varsity though. Maschinot will be fine, no one is saying otherwise, but if he wants to be successful in the next 2 years he HAS to cut out the one handed push pass. It's not more often than not that he gets the ball to the open man unless youre talking about the man outside the arc. His ball just doesn't have enough on it, and it's easy to pick off due to the very obvious push pass method he uses. 98% of the time right now Maschinot goes to his right only and does a push pass. If he can work on his left and cut out those passes [which he is not the only one guilty of, the entire JV guard system has an issue with it] he will be a really good PG.

Yeah, I mean I think the zone threw Holmes off, but it could have been executed better and I'm sure they'll work on it. Maile at the top is a better idea, and Wellbrock down low. People need to remember that when the ball gets down on the low wing and the big guy has to go out [isler did this a couple of times] then the other low post player needs to drop in to the middle more to defend the inside.

lol, nooo idea. But they need to work on that. I would have had Maile up there personally and Wellbrock and Isler on the blocks. I trust Maile to drop down when the ball gets down low more, I think Wellbrock forgot a couple times..

lol to be honest, I've never watched Reidingers shot like I've watched Maschinot's. I've seen his jump and it looked solid, but didn't look at form or anything. So I wouldn't be surprised if his is better, which is even more puzzling as to why he isn't getting a try. I mean Maschinot didn't really even come out tonight, and he had 5 points, but honestly he hurts alot with the passing.

To be honest, I've kind of wondered the same thing. I mean I understand Reidinger is small, but Maschinot is too. And I personally think Reidinger handles the ball better. Maschinot has a better shot though I think. They are pretty even. They both do the one handed push pass..aah.

Yeah I know. What is even worse is that Mitch has been VERY dedicated to basketball. No kid deserves to go through this, but it is really upsetting to see him and his family go through this. They're all such nice people, and I'm sure it's heartbreaking not only the illness but him missing out on something he loves so much.

Mitch has lost a lot off his frame. He looks very fragile. Weak. Obviously because he is sick, but weight loss too. I mean the kid eats and can't keep anything down from what I heard. Poor thing. But yeah, it's good to hear they may be figuring out what it is, and that it isn't as severe as people are speculating.

I see more potential in Reidinger. I really like him, especially at PG. So hopefully that is how it plays out. The passes are the wings fault in some instances, but nearly every pass Maschinot makes is a weak one handed push pass. That isn't going to cut it and he's been told and it's just a matter of breaking the habit.

Passing is Maschinot's biggest problem. One handed and not enough on it. Causes turnovers. He needs some size too obviously. Thelen looked good. The three bigs need to be in together. Isler and Thelen compliment each other well. Jake is going to be good the next two years. The Sorrell thing, well I think the thing was minor and misconstrued, but Sorrell HAS had an attitude problem, as well as two other kids who were always talked to from what I heard. Still saw attitude from those two tonight though so who knows? If you do it to one, you have to do it to all three I would think.

Thelen and Isler are both 6'4, with Thelen maybe edging a bit closer to 6'5. Pittman is probably 6'6.

:laugh: Dude, I don't agree with much he says, but he is right. Pittman spends a good majority of time talking. He has too much talent not to utilize the right way and right now it's like he cares more about getting in the other persons head. And actually I think it backfires on him, as it seemed he became frustrated with people pushing HIM around.

Yeah, I think he WANTS to be outside. Poor kid was just born into a 6'5 big man frame lol. He'll be fine though. I mean heck the offense is pretty designed that all 5 people should be outside the arc, so it could be just part of what he thinks hes supposed to do.

He had nine points? Wow. Honestly, he just didn't do all that much to me. Non factor was probably a bit extreme, but he wasn't anything too hard to handle.
