You must have not been to the Harlan/Fleming game. It was about 7 to 1 Fleming.

Like I said before, the key to this game is weither Rowan can get to the corners on offense. Rowan has a good defense. On offense, they run up the middle and try to set up the corner runs with Cross or the QB. If Greenup stops the corner runs, they win. If Greenup doesn't stop the corner runs, Rowan wins BIG.

The player that is out for the rest of the season was hurt in the Harlan game. Fleming also lost one for the season in the Harrison game. Both played both ways. We do have 2 starters back from suspension(Harlan game). I don't know about the other 4-7 that are hurt. I don't think we will have enough back to have a chance at Estill. Especially if the refs from the Powell/Fleming game are there. They had no idea what a hold was.

5 of the starters play both ways--a lot of ironman in Fleming County--we actually had 4 out due to injuries sustained in the Harlan game, 2 out b/c they were injected from the Harlan game-for the 11 total. Both of the backup LBs were injured in the JV Monday night and did not dress. Our starting wide recievers were in the game but playing QB and running back. Our only offensive lineman that played in his normal poisition was at RT. It was a long night.

To answer your question no Newsom did not play in the game, neither did Fleming's starting LT, C, RG, or RB. Also on defense Fleming was missing their entire starting DL, along with two starting LBs (this was important because those LBs backups were hurt as well)...probably would have been easier to've typed which normal starters actually played.

Harlan County has played one 5A team this year. We all know how that turned out. I have no idea why our coach agreed to play Bryan Station. I do not agree with that either. Harrison County is 4A not 5A.

Harlan Central should be in 5A. I heard Powell refused to play them. I wish we had.

Fleming is missing almost everyone. We don't have a chance now. Powell's JV will be playing in the 3rd Quarter.

No we didn't petition. Harlan will probably win, but then why shoudn't a 5A school win a 3A district game? our QB is 6'1' 235. FB 6' 250. C 6'5" 300+

Rowan doesn't have five extra players like last week, so I don't think they will be close in this one. 11 young men have a hard time beating 11 young men and 5 old ones.

My team is in their district. This is not right.
