  1. What scrimmages will take place before opening Games kickoff? May want to get an early look at someone ... :thumb:
  2. Besides the teams mentioned above, who are 2-3 sleepers that we could see win one or two rounds in the Playoffs in Class 2A?
  3. Glad to hear Green County did well in this format. Usually passing is not their forte but a balanced attacked would go well in a tough district. Looking forward to watching the Dragons play and covering some of their games here on BGP!
  4. What does the Lakers have returning? I know they will open the season against Green County who has to fill many holes themselves. Any thoughts on how these two will match up?
  5. Stephen Newby - Washington Co. (1991) Joel Thompson - Campbellsville (1990) William Redd - Bardstown (1992)
  6. Not 100% certain on dates or order but the Dragons schedule should look something like this... Aug 19th @ Russell Co. Aug. 26th vs Barren Co. @ CU (Forcht Bank Bowl) Sept 2nd vs Lex. Christian Sept. 9th vs Taylor Co. Sept 16th vs Cville Sept 23rd @ Danville Sept 30th @ Glasgow Oct. 7th OPEN Oct. 14th @ Metcalfe Co. Oct. 21st vs Monroe Co. Oct. 28th @ Larue Co.
  7. I agree Winterweather, they do have plenty of holes to feel. However, sometimes new faces doesn't mean less talent. I can forsee Mosby possibly getting the snaps as the starting QB since he took most all snaps last season in JV. A heavy dose of Brewer and maybe a young Ford gets some carries as well. With the schedule you stated, 6 wins are very possible and depending on how the staff gets this group to gel, we could see 7 possibly. Definitely need a win over a Glasgow or Monroe Co to avoid a 1st round playoff visit to DeSales or CAL. Interested in seeing how it all pans out.
  8. Did find out that the Dragons will face the Barren County Trojans on August 26th in the Forcht Bank Bowl at Campbellsville University. Despite Barren being a 5A school, this is a game they should win.
  9. Honestly haven't seen the 2016 schedule, just assumed its pretty close to last seasons. The Dragons were really close to their 4 wins last season being 7. Matney is big shoes to fill in their style of offense at QB but with solid play at that position, we could see the Dragons reach 6-7 wins
  10. I wouldn't be so sure of your 4 win prediction. Good source says this team will be better than last years. Not sure of the CU Bowl game schedule at this time!
  11. Green is going into season 2 under head coach Hunter Jackson. Despite losing a decent size senior class, the Dragons could be very competitive in 2016. They must fill the QB position after graduating Austin Matney but will probably do that with up and comer Andrew Mosby. Running back position returns several ball carriers from last season and a decent offensive line. If Dragons can fill holes on the defensive side of the ball, look for them to possibly win 3-4 more games. Could pull a shocker against someone in 2016 and put a run together for a decent district. Can the Dragons overcome Monroe Co and Glasgow? We'll see in little over a month. The pieces of the puzzle are there and Coach Jackson along with former Coach Mike Griffiths, and a veteran staff, keep your eyes on this Class 2A squad.
  12. Any word on possible coaching candidates for Adair County. Should have some talent returning on that squad. What about athletes in this area. Any guys to keep an eye on for the 2016 campaign?
  13. I know some of the coaches are returning while others hired new ones... any changes in the coaches listed? Monroe Co - Billy Joe Murphy Green Co - Hunter Jackson Adair Co - OPEN Metcalfe Co - LJ Harbinson Taylor Co - Dudley Hilton Marion Co - Corey Crume Campbellsville - Dale Estes Russell Co - Bill Sharp Hart Co - Anthony Boone Glasgow - Jeff Garmon Sr. Washington Co - Eric Sagrecy Casey Co - Steve Stonebraker Caverna - Kenny Davidson Larue Co - Tony Hatmaker
  14. With the 2016 campaign slowly clicking down the days to the start of new seasons, which schools in Central Kentucky will field a solid team. Any information on teams in this area like Monroe Co, Green Co, Adair Co, Metcalfe Co, Taylor Co, Marion Co, Campbellsville, Russell Co, Hart Co, Glasgow, Washington Co, Casey Co, Caverna, or Larue Co? Who are some athletes that may help carry these teams in 2016 ... give us information on players, coaches, etc.
  15. As much as I would like to see Monroe pull this off, I have to be honest and say I feel DeSales will win this one easily. Offensively Monroe offers nothing that can or will give DeSales problems. The Colts program is a step above these teams from this area currently. It will show. I'm taking the Colts in this one 38-7
