With the 2016 campaign slowly clicking down the days to the start of new seasons, which schools in Central Kentucky will field a solid team. Any information on teams in this area like Monroe Co, Green Co, Adair Co, Metcalfe Co, Taylor Co, Marion Co, Campbellsville, Russell Co, Hart Co, Glasgow, Washington Co, Casey Co, Caverna, or Larue Co?

 

Who are some athletes that may help carry these teams in 2016 ... give us information on players, coaches, etc.

I thought Central Kentucky was Lexington schools?

I believe that he was let go, but I'm not sure the circumstances around it. This will be their 4th coach in 4 years.

Marion County just hired Allen Harmon as HC, he is former Nelson County QB and son of Nelson County's great retired basketball coach, Minor Harmon.

Any word on possible coaching candidates for Adair County. Should have some talent returning on that squad.

Of the mentioned teams Adair has the most offensive talent returning. Everyone is back off a very explosive offensive. The question now is since Gay moved on does anyone have those in the weightroom.

I've heard from someone in Columbia that the kids are in the weight room every day with several of the asst. coaches. I don't know the validity of that, but I trust my source.

 

From everything I've heard since Gay resigned, it seems they were/are a pretty close staff, so I'd assume that a lot of things have remained in place. But, that's just my speculation.

 

And I have heard nothing about who the hire might be.

Last I heard, which came from this website, were Peck, a current assistant, and Josh Jaggers. How true is any of that IDK.

 

The thing with the AC job is that this year you will be expected to win at least 9 games and reach the 2nd round of the playoffs. Then after that it will be a drop off in talent.

They are in the weight room. They do return all of their skill, but lost a few blue collar guys including their leading tacklers, and a couple of very solid kids up front.
