Winterweather, that's a bold statement but one that may be well deserved but the Campbellsville faithful probably has their opinions on guys like Joel Thompson, Petie Spaulding, and Timmy Mayes (not 100% certain on my facts but believe he went on to set rushing records at Campbellsville University). These guys were between the years of 1987 thru 2001.

Campbellsville comes into this one as a favorite no doubt. However don't sleep on the Dragons in this one. The Eagles are the more talented team and come into the Cow Bowl unblemished; however, the Dragons have had this teams number for quite a while now. I personally watched the Eagles get embarrassed last year 43-14 by the Dragons. I know Campbellsville was without K. Young in that one but they had no answer for GC quarterback A. Matney. Will we see more of the same as it seems the Eagles have had no answer for the Option offense of the Dragons, or is this the year the Eagles finally win the Cow Bowl trophy. The Eagles are at home for this one and if I was the Dragons, I'd be angry coming off a loss to a very poor team in Taylor Co. I believe this one will be close. My heart is with the Dragons but I'm going Cville 28, GC 20 in a final.

AC took ball first to start game and was held on 3 plays. Snapped ball over punters head and he picked it up and tried to punt it. It was blocked and recovered on the 4 yard line. Punched in by MC on next play. Kinda set the tone for 1st quarter. AC responds on next series but MC responded by breaking a 44 yard TD run on their next possession. AC then settles down and caught MC with a 45 yard TD pass on 3&30. Also tacked on a 35 yard Halfback pass to go into the half up 27-14. 3rd qtr saw defense go back and fourth until late when MC connects on a 3rd down 35 yard TD pass. MC then goes into the 4th qtr and their defense stifled the Indians. AC offense was lack luster in 2nd half. MC got ball back with 1:27 to go on their 42 yard line. 2 runs with a set up a 3rd and 8. MC tries to go deep and it bounces off their receiver into the hands of the AC defensive back. AC then takes a knee twice and escapes with a 5 point win. MC gave up the big plays but all in all outplayed the Indians. AC's Lasley was not a factor in this one and the Indians defense show vulnerability for the RB screen, counter runs, and underneath crossing routes. This was a close and exciting one despite MC turning the ball over 4 times. My take is AC will still go thru their regular season 9-1 due to the strength of schedule. I don't see the Indians beating Etown. I actually expected better since they had not been tested till tonight. MC has only mustered 127 total rushing yards in 3 games but gapped the Indians tonight for several run for 15 yards or more. AC's linebackers did not play the counter off the jet sweep well and gave up a couple huge 1st downs on screens. This pretty much sums up this game!
