Newport looked great tonight. Even down by 10 with a about 4 minutes remaining, they kept with it and never gave up. Great game by Ludlow tonight as well. Bryan's shots just wouldn't fall tonight, very exciting game. I didn't stick around for the HC/St Henry game, but congrats to St. Henry on a huge win. I'll take a Newport/NCC Round 2 for the Championship.

I don't think he will be playing against Holy Cross, but we shall see.

Ludlow is a very tough team that does all the right things at the right times. It will be interesting to see how they do against the bigger name schools this season

I think you have to give it to Blake Bryan, or one of the 2 from Beechwood. No others could be in contention IMO

Any team has a chance to upset anyone on any given night. If they are shooting well from outside (as they were last night), then anything can happen.

The kid can flat out play. Age is irrelevant, and I'm not sure why it was even brought into the talk.

Although I do believe that Dayton has a very solid ball club, I think their downfall is lack of quality wins. Their wins this year are against Bracken County, Silver Grove, Heritage, Bellevue, and Lloyd. Lloyd is not a ball team either, but not sure about the quality wins statement.

This post confuses me. I would say you must be a big Bellevue supporter, but you didnt even know they lost. Anyway, nice win by the Devils, its always huge to knock off your big rival. Hopefully the Bellevue boys can turn things around before it gets too late.

The two big games are this evening. Representing Pool A in the championship will be the winner between Newport and host Grant County. Representing Pool B in the championship will be the winner between Ludlow and Sayre. Should be some exciting matchups
