This is correct. David stopped coaching Shining Star teams a few years ago and now Stephen coaches a team. David has been the JV coach at Dixie for the last 3-4 years.

I haven't heard anything about this job lately... Anyone heard anything?

You missed the point of what Legion was saying. Walton is south of Florence.

You realize Coach Bezold was had a .500 conference record his first year in Division 1, right? He is a solid candidate for coach of the year in the A-Sun. I know that program well and he is no where near "halfway out the door" or "over his head." To think he would leave NKU to coach at Ryle is beyond crazy.

I don't think Legion was referring to a correlation of academic success and on-court success. I feel like it was just a comment on parents complaining about coaches. Areas with high performing academics equals a lot more of parental complaints athletically because of demanded excellence. Legion if I am wrong, please clarify further.

How are you going to hate on a school district's test scores and not even know where it is? ... Because that is what Legion was referring to I believe. Walton Verona does perform very well in terms of state test scores.

I second these sentiments. Niederman is a great guy/coach and I am a little shocked he did not get the job. Congratulations to Coach Griffith. I hope he can build something successful in Florence.

I've got to know BH a little over the last couple years and he is a great kid. He is very level headed and understands his current skill set and ability. He is definitely someone that makes it easy to root for him.

You have understand that you can waste resources in the college landscape. I understand that BH is only a stones throw from NKU but they have to be realistic and not waste time if they know they are not going to land someone. I would also hope that Bez has a great grasp on if he can land BH because a former player of Bez's is on the staff at Dixie.

Now I don't have up to the minute information (someone said Bez was at the game last night and either parties opinions can change in a heartbeat), but I know conversations have taken place previously and what was taken away from those conversations is that BH isn't too high on staying around here at NKU.

He has been on Bezold's radar for a long time. BH doesn't want to go to NKU.

I always felt the 33rd was bigger than most districts, even as late as 2004 (year I graduated) the 33rd had 6 teams: Boone Conner Ryle Simon Kenton St. Henry Heritage (granted they were never competition but they were still in there)
