Coach id argue some parents are thinking about the kids. They are thinking their kids are going to be their piggy bank and will stop at nothing to make it happen.

Agree 100% with you on this. My concern is that Ryle hasnt had much size the last few years on the the line from the youth level. Now I get it kids grow but the starting point is less than what it has been. I think Ryle will have to transition a bit from a size power type Line, to a agile quickness type line. That could be a good thing and add some new wrinkles.

I will disagree somewhat. Why do you want a coach to lie to a kid. Id rather the coach be honest. Specifically in Football, as the offseason time to get bigger and stronger can be key. Now I think, there can also be a balance between offseason workouts and a Winter/Spring Sport time, but that balance can also be conflictive, specifically in Baseball. Its not an overall general yes or no thing, its specific to each player and what sports they are playing.

If not seed, why cant they have rotating regions? Every 16 years it resets, everyone knows years in advance who matches up. Its not hard. Blind draw is the dumbest thing ever.

Not a fair statement, they have been, kids have just said no to Kentucky.

Proper training can avoid a lot of those issues though, so that you develop other muscles and such to prevent those kind of injuries. Thats the bigger issue IMO. Parents and kids dont know how to specialize in a single sport. You have to have rest time periodically, you have to do different training for other muscles and such. In other words, it not that they are specializing, its how they are doing it.

Dont they have a freshman QB who can sling it? Should be a fun team to watch in 2018.

Overheard a conversation yesterday about the job. Basically still doing interviews. Apparently one applicant is from "out of the area" and him being able to do a face to face interview hasnt worked out yet, but both parties want it to happen. I would be surprised if a coaches is named before May 15th.

Dont be alarmed, part of it is younger talent is better, so some kids are leaving for playing time somewhere else. Their to be freshman and sophomore classes are very talented, and deep in numbers. LCA will probably have 75 kids on the sidelines on Friday night. Nothing to worry about.

When the league started, each private school team (then it was just NCC and Holy Cross) had direct schools they could pull from. When Cov Cath and Brossart joined the league, Covington Diocese said that they could pull from any parish school in the diocese (in other words play for who you want).

Id by that if it was 2 weeks since the season ended but its been a month.

No decision will be made till late April or early May. Grant just got off of spring break and will begin interviews shortly.
