King of the Bluegrass

I am waiting on one contract. We don't announce the entire field until all contract are received. Also, we don't announce the teams in the month of April or early May because EVERYTHING in the media is focused on the Kentucky Derby...a release would be hidden on the back page.

We are happy to announce that they will be in the 2017 King of the Bluegrass December 19 - 23, 2017.

If you look at the history of high school basketball you must look at Hinkle Fieldhouse and Freedom Hall...present times Rupp. Archives for college arenas MSG, Palestra and Allen Fieldhouse...Pros- Boston Garden, Forum, Chicago Stadium and Philadelphia Civic Center. Summer venues...Dirt Bowl and Rucker League Summer Camps...5 Star and B/C All-Stars I have been to all except Allen Fieldhouse.

The last year that Indiana had one class the attendance was 40,000. (in the Championship game)...all classes together haven't had 40,000 since they went to four classes. (Damon Bailey was a senior that year)

Answer: Remember the KOB is played in December...the LIT and State Tournament the next calendar year. 89 KOB - 90 LIT and State Tournament - FAIRDALE 93 KOB - 94 LIT and State Tournament - FAIRDALE

Do you believe Clay Co. has never played in the KOB....invited...didn't accept.

Only two teams in 36 years have won the King of the Bluegrass, the LIT and the State Championship in the same school year. Who? Year?

Fairdale 74 Central 48 Anytime you beat Central at Central it's a big win. Coach Hicks and his Dawgs have played a tough schedule and it's starting to pay off.

I had just recommended him to Coach Stansberry at Western Kentucky last week. I guess it was to late. Jaylon is a steal for Wright State.

Buford is ranked #16 in Georgia. Trinityy beat Georgia #13 Berkmar in the Championship game of the King of the Bluegrass

Oak Ridge ranked #4 in Tennessee. Great win Trinity

Top 6 + 8 - 9 - 11 were all in the .King of the Bluegrass...only Trinity survived 4 - 0.

Indiana schools can't play in a tournament out of Indiana...period. They can't play in a showcase if ANY team is more than 300 miles from the state line.
