  1. Know nothing about your members' allegations but I do know that for any student to be enrolled in a Boone County School they must reside in the district. The only other students that are allowed to attend a Boone County school if they are out of district are children of employees of the school system. So if a player is attending Ryle High School then they were approved by the Central Office or they would not be in the school. Everyone who enrolls a child in a Boone County school has to show proof of residency.
  2. Wrong again. Specifically stated that in the two years as basketball coach the program had won 33 basketball games with games left. As a softball/ basketball coach at the high school level the coach had won 400 games. So where was the disquise? You might want to reread all of your posts. Recall some saying Ryle has no point guard and do not see any help on the way or it getting any better. How many times have hounded the fact about Ryle's point guards and who are the best point guards in the region? This is obviously a major issue with you.
  3. Point being made was that Oliverio can coach no matter what sport it is. A Winner is a Winner. None of those 400 wins included her days at Boone as an assistant basketball coach. But since you mentioned it the program at Ryle says her J.V.'s teams' record while at Boone in 4 years was 78-8, with 3 Conference Championships. Add those wins and the teams she has coached in high school have won close to 500 games in 19 years. Before you talk about misguided facts you need to get your FACTS straight. Looking at their schedule, they played the conference schedule they have to play, district games they have to play, and 3 tournaments including Scott County's and Boone County's known to have good tournaments, and a few other teams. Schedule is just as strong as most teams in the 9th other than Highlands and Notre Dame. Beat the teams they should have beaten, played every other team within 9 points and were blown out twice. Taken into consideration all of the injuries and games missed by staters and key players team has done an outstanding job. Bombsquad, when Ryle's two point guards sign their college basketball scholorships in 3 and 4 years make sure you attend their signing ceremonies. Your constant attacks on the 14 and 15 year old point guards for Ryle leaves the world to see your issue.
  4. If you have 4 Freshman who are playing/starting Varsity then a coach with any integrity is not going to play them on the Freshman team as well. Ryle has 11 Freshman and two 8th graders on the current roster. They lost 4 from last years team to Cooper leaving them with the 6 Sophmores currently on the J.V./Varsity. Ryle has a very unique situation, very talented 8th, 9th and 10th graders that are ready now for Varsity basketball. Many players girls or boys are not willing to put the time and effort in if they think the are not going to play. Upperclassmen are embarassed because younger players are better than them and kids their same age give up instead of competing and working to get better to contribute and being a part of a team.
  5. What is going on in the Ryle Girl's basketball program is not "funny" nor is it in disarray. Instead I see it as impressive. The administation made a great hire in Oliverio and she brought in outstanding assistants. The FACT is they are beating and competing with teams that consist of mostly upperclassmen with 2 8th graders, 3 Freshman, 2 Sophmores, and 1 Junior playing most of the minutes. The 16 years before the current coaching staff took over Ryle NEVER had a winning season and had only won 18 games in the two prior seasonds combined. With the current staff the program is 33-15 in the two seasons they have taken over the program, with alot of games still left to play this year. Why is it every time players quit, chose not to play for various reasons, or are removed from a team then something must be wrong with the program? From the success of the program under the new coaching staff and from how hard the players play the games I have seen them play the coach obviously has the right personnel on the floor and in the program. The very young Varsity is 12-8, the J.V. is undefeated, and the Freshman program has gone 33- 5 the last two years. This program is WINNING now not 2-3 years from now. Oliverio has a reputaion of buiding very successful programs built on hard work, discipline and a team concept. Her teams have won over 400 games in both softball and basketball in 15 years, with 6 Regional Championships and 3 Final Four State finishes. I believe this speaks for itself.
  6. Only the 2nd game together as a full squad and 5 weeks to get better before tournament play. This team is very dangerous. Very athletic and they play hard and play together. Tonight they played 2 8th graders, 3, Freshman, 2 Sophmores, and 1 Junior. I, too would not be surprised to see them right there at the end this year. Ryle outcored Highlands by 14 from the floor and Highlands won this game at the line 24-33 while Ryle was 6-18. This was a great game to watch as both teams played hard and have great players. This was the first time I have seen Ryle play this year with Moss and Crittendon back in the line-up together with their team and they and their team are fun to watch.
  7. I saw the Ryle vs. Boone game and Moss played the perimeter in that game most of the time. Moss is a swing player and that is what she did in that game. Anybody that actually knows the game would have seen that. When #4 was on the bench #23 ran the point for Ryle. You are the same person who said that when Jump hit 6 consecutive 3's in a game that that was not great shooting. Again, how many times have you hit 6 consecutive 3's in a competitive situation? This is the point WV Frank was trying to make. Ryle is a very, very young team that is good now and going to be great so
  8. Any team that can go 7-1 without its top 3 scorers and rebounders is a good team regardless of who they are playing. Ryle played Notre Dame without 2 starters and with Moss playing in her first game back in which she played less than half the game. Notre Dame is at full strength and a very good veteran team and you want to base whether or not Ryle is a good team basd on that one game. Notre Dame dominated the first half in that game and Ryle played them to a 4 point game in the 2nd half. Ryle is good team now because they have found ways to win as a team through adversity and this will only make them that much stronger when they get at full strength.
  9. Ryle is 7-1 to date. Team was won without 3 of their starters most of the season. I would say they have done an outstanding job of winning as a team with their depth especially as young as they are. Looks like the coach is playing 10- 12 players a night gaining great experience and still winning. How many programs could lose their top 3 scorers and rebounders and still win? This speaks for the depth of this team. I would say they will be very strong once they are at full strength in the post season.
  10. Was at the scrimmage tonight and Ryle won 65-62. From what I saw tonight anyone who plays Ryle this year better come to play. They are quick, athletic, strong, and can shoot the basketball. This team will get after you and not let up. Much better than the Ryle team that I saw play last season in the District Tournament.
  11. Not starting the Walton transfer rumors just responding to them and the ignorance of some in regard to rules. Girls in question could not attend team camp or organized summer practices with high school coaches until officially enrolled in Walton Verona Schools. Again, some need to know the rules before we speak.
  12. Tiger 1, in addition to the PG rumored to be coming to Walton now you are aware of the girl that in your description can shoot it from anywhere. One transfered in last year and two more possibly this year and all are from different schools but on the same AAU team. Maybe just a coincidence. You are the one that implied that this coach was allowed to talk to his players and that the KHSAA could do NOTHING to the Walton program.
  13. You said he was allowed to talk to any of his players about attending Walton Verona and my point is Bylaw 10 defines that as recruiting whether he is only a parent as you first stated or a coach in Walton's middle school program. Do not know if this person has done this but before you make such a strong statement you need to know the rules.
  14. Tiger 1, you might want to check out Bylaw 10. Recruiting is not allowed by a peer, parent, coach, etc. If I am not mistaken this coach mentioned has a direct affiliation with school when he is coaching middle school basketball for Walton Verona. So no he can not talk to any of his players about attending Walton Verona.
  15. Shoudn't you be asking what AAU team with a coach who has a daughter who will attend Walton Verona. This is an easy one!
