Montgomery Co @ Ryle Scrimmage 11/18/08

Featured Replies

Should be a good match up as both of these teams return a lot of talent.

Not real sure if I would agree that it's going to be a good match-up. Whether good or bad the absence of Moss has dropped Ryle's stock quite a bit. Ryle does have some excellent young players, but that probably won't be enough to propel them by a quality team like Montgomery County.

Moss will be there or at least she'll be back. Bank on it!

I think that's great. I didn't see her on Ryle's roster.

Should be a good match up for Montgomery County the Varsity and JV squad booth looked good at the scrimmage last week.

Was at the scrimmage tonight and Ryle won 65-62. From what I saw tonight anyone who plays Ryle this year better come to play. They are quick, athletic, strong, and can shoot the basketball. This team will get after you and not let up. Much better than the Ryle team that I saw play last

season in the District Tournament.

Good for Ryle! What was the format of the scrimmage?

Word I got was that Montgomery was up about 25 and when the subs went in Ryle started to come back. Sounds like a good win for Ryle but that Montgomery got out of it what they needed to.

This game was a tale of two halves. Montgaomery jumped on Ryle quick and got up as many as 19 before Ryle knew what hit them. Ryle played 12 players in the first half and Montgomery Co. played 8. Ryle cut the lead to 12at halftime. In the third Ryle picked up the pressure and cut the lead to 1. In the 2nd half Ryle played 10 players and Montgomery played 9. From someone who was actually at the game and scouting both teams Ryle played more subs than Montgomery County in both halves. Believe me from about midpoint in the 3rd period both of these teams were playing hard and trying to win. For Ryle to cut a 19 point margin against Montgomery's top 8 players was impressive. Both teams played hard and will only get better

as the year goes on.
