Covington Catholic 10 Beechwood 3
Old guy come on!!! Stein got on in the 4th with an E1th. Pitcher fielded ball clean and pulled 1st baseman off bag. If you're going to give hits on that stuff, I'll start calling you the left-wing 'keeper.

28 came in to pinch run earlier in the game and never played the field. You may have thought it was 28 out in the field but it was 38 in the last 2 innings.

Covington Catholic 10 Beechwood 3
The kid who came into the game to play right, #38, was entered in the pitcher spot who 23 was DHing for. 40 came from right to pitch.

No, first off Stein definitely got on with an error. Secondly, 38 came in for the pitcher who was being DH'd for. 40 was already in lineup. DH never stopped being DH. He just DH'd for the guy who subbed in for the pitcher and played RF.

2011 9th Region Tournament Predictions
For Boone, don't forget Chase Stanley. He's a nice pitcher as well; however, I'm not sure how much he pitched this year.

Dematteo, Popham and Sexton all commit to Thomas More College
Yep, he is.

35th Championship game between Beechwood and CovCath has been canceled.
It probably be a little better than what Meinken offers. Shame your team bowed out already.

2011 9th Region Tournament Predictions
You obviously don't know as much as you think! This is info received from CCH players themselves. I'm sorry you weren't privy to this information. I was just wondering if it was a sore arm or worse (with Shumate), something that could potentially be a setback for him on the next level.

Same place, Meinken.

2011 9th Region Tournament Predictions
I heard Shumate is having arm issues. True or false? I know Severson had some arm issues since he wasn't playing the field. Also, I'd have to say Dixie's #2 is Dematteo. Doesn't he have a 4-0 record?

Early would be before he turns 19!

2011 9th Region Tournament Predictions
True. Coaches or a representative from each school in the region go to the draw.

2011 9th Region Tournament Predictions
I agree with classification but don't forsee in near future. I do think there has to be a conformity of the rules of how each district operates, at the very least in each Region.

2011 9th Region Tournament Predictions
There's no question Ryle is one of the best, if notthe best team, in the ninth, but how do you get the supposed best 8 teams to go to the Regional? Do you have any suggestions?

36th district
I agree 100% Coop. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Why even play a team in your district if it's a blind draw?

Covington Catholic 5 Holy Cross 4
It's not that I dislike or hate the kids of HC. It's more like I can't stand the fans.

Covington Catholic 5 Holy Cross 4
You get credit when credit is earned. I gave you credit last year when you won the district. Just painting a true factual picture. Your team lost more district games than CCH and BW combined.
-
Covington Catholic 5 Holy Cross 4
Just as I predicted. CCH prevailed. So HC ends up with a 2-4 record in district. CCH is 5-2 and BW is 4-1. Should be a good game tonight!
-
36th district
That goes purely by number of wins. JPA is right, you use their district record to determine seeding. Newport beat Bellevue and Highlands so they'd be number 2; however, Bellevue and Highlands never played so it would be tough to determine who's 3. If the seeding games mattered in this district, I'm sure they'd have done everything to get them in.

Holy Cross vs Cov Cath - Predictions (5/25)
I think CCH gets their third win vs the tribe. CCH 5 HC 1.

Beechwood 13 Holmes 1 (5 innings)
I know. The outfielders may not find their way in to the dugout. Scarrrry!

Beechwood 13 Holmes 1 (5 innings)
Bertke gets another win as the Tigers move to 30-7. Congrats on the 30 win season. Next game Thursday vs winner of CCH/HC at 5:30 at Meinken.

Scheduling two games on the same field with no lights in a district tourney
I would have to disagree. Those lights are in no way up to standards set by KHSAA. There are dark spots all over the field. And what does BW have to do with it. There are a few high schools in the area that have sufficient lights. Dixie and St. Henry are two that come to mind.

Is that what they're called?

Upcoming Holy Cross / Covington Catholic District game
What would happen if they weren't hosting? I'm sure they would change the mass to the morning.
