I'll go top 6 or so after that it gets really tough to call that many teams could make a good case for. Highlands, Manual, Dunbar etc 1) Mercy 2) Sacred Heart 3) Assumption 4) Notre Dame 5) NCC 6) St Henry And yes I believe Assumption is a solid # 3 in the State based on overall season performance and I believe they lost a player to injury too. (they beat Mercy once also) Speaking of over all season performance I'd have to give ND the 4 spot over NCC. ND beat Sacred Heart and St Henry 3 times. ND also took a game off of Mercy at LIVT too. Can't go just off of getting to final 4. Switch 9th & 10th Region draws and ND goes to final 4. I am taking nothing away from NCC they had a great, great season and I want to congratulate them on their run. Just IMO ND would be 4th based on overall season and not just from not playing very well in one match.

I hate to hear about any injuries. Anyone know what grade she is??

My top 4 picks at this point are 1) Mercy 2) Sacred Heart 3) Notre Dame 4) NCC Mercy's only loss was to Assumption but avenged that twice. but Mercy may be down a player still?? Mercy has handled Sacred Heart everytime Mercy beat ND twice but 2nd time much closer match with ND taking 1 game ND beat Sacred Heart in 3 close ones. I think Sacred Heart wins their side of the bracket. ND would get Mercy 2nd round, gonna be a tough match. NCC should make it to Semi-finals and meet either Mercy or ND Should be a fun tourney but if I had to be pinned down I'd say Sacred Heart vs Mercy in the finals. Only question mark is the injured Mercy player, could be a difference in 2nd round match??????????? Contrats and good luck to all

I don't think anyone is meaning that the region winners don't deserve to be included just that people would like to see the State tourney expanded. Volleyball is different than BB or Baseball. It is a sport where 3 and 4 matches can and are easily played a day and on consecutive days. I totally agree that you have the same argument at different sports but I personally just don't think volleyball can or should be treated the same as Basketball or baseball when there are other options for a sport like volleyball. You will never get All the best teams in the State Tourney even if expaned to 32. I'd certainly like to get more feedback, thoughts, ideas about this. I personally would like to see Region winners and Runner-ups going maybe using pool play, adding a day or something ??
