If anyone is looking for something to do Saturday. ND is playing Louisville Mercy this Saturday at NKU. I believe the varsity match is scheduled for 12:30.

I just talked to a CC parent. Campbell Co over Boone in 2. 30-28,25-21. Would have been a great match to watch.

I like Highlands in Pool A and Campbell Co Pool B. With CC edging Highlands in 3 games in the final

Campbell County was missing a Middle last night. Out sick. Their # 1 outside had to play middle. Probably would have made it a little better match but NCC is a very solid veteran team. If CC's middle is back tonight I think CC/Boone will be a good one.

Add a day and expand the State tourney is about the only solution I can think of? It would let some other quality teams in yet still give smaller Regions their shot at going to State.

I am very happy to learn that Matt stepped up to help out a friend and fellow coach in her time of need. Hats off to Matt. Hopefully Coach Woolf will be back soon.

Unfortunately you are right we have to get use to it. I subcribed to the Post only because of its N Ky coverage. The Enquirer never cover N KY sports and obviously haven't changed much. Too Bad for everyone but especially the kids.

I do not know what all went on at Beechwood with all of this. But I do know that Beechwood no longer has one of the top volleyball coaches in N KY and unfortunately for the Beechwood volleyball players the timing is not good at all either. Good HS Volleyball coaches are hard to come by in N KY. Matt Long is one of the best and I will personally miss seeing him on the sidelines as I know many others will too. Hopefully he will return to the sport someday whether it be at the club or HS level. Good Luck Matt with whatever direction you go, it has been my pleasure to watch and enjoy your teams through the years.

Wow, lots of crazy comments going back and forth and I am late getting in on this one. 1) I don't understand what is meant by doesn't know the difference between (NKJV) or any Club volleyball and High School. You still have a boss or two and you still bottom line have parents to answer to in the end regardless if it is Club volleyball or HS. Parents are going to go to the AD or Club Directors with any issues. 2) Missed an Banquet? I was told Coach Pfeffer had a commitment with his teaching job. So he arranged to get the volleyball team together another night so he could be present??? 3) Coach Pfeffer did inherit talent at CC but it is what you are able to do with talent that tells the story on you. In 3 years, 2 Regional Runners-up and 1 State Tournament appearance, not a bad resume. 4) Yes I understand that word got out that coach Pfeffer was probably not coming back which should not have happened but I also heard the JV coach was the one spreading the word around. 5) Oak Hills new coach . I don't know where that one came from but I know the Oak Hills coach is not stepping down so I don't know where that one is coming from. 6) Bottom line coaching is a difficult and stressful job at any school. You can't please everyone, the parents thats kids are playing are happy and usually quiet, the ones that aren't playing are your detractors. I take my hat off to all HS coaches, some can take the heat and some can't. It takes special people that can put up with the pressure. I am sure Coach Pfeffer will land on his feet somewhere when he is ready. Hopefully sooner than later.
