I know of more than one school where the coach is actually the bus driver and physically drops off each kid after a game (although rarely basketball). I'd think this could be constrewed the same way.

I agree entirely, some of the worst cases are parents (and uncles and any other relative that happens to show up). Somehow I do not remember this from the olde days... I remember parents going into the student sections to correct problems, not causing more themselves... :argue:

I have been reeatedly dissappointed(in multiple sports) with the lack of student, parent, and community interest. I agree with hja that not long ago, you couldn't get into most gyms for a weeknight game and now you cant get people to come for a prime time Friday!

It only takes half a brain as a player to realize the 15 minute mark and that the refs are coming ... It takes less as a coach to post an assistant with the sole responsibility of informing the team of the same...

I heard the same about possibly next week, but that didn't come from what I would consider an A1 source. From what I heard about his condition a week ago, his strength wouldn't be back until well after the first.:argue:

If you can tell me what school, I may be able to help (privately). A similar situation happened two years ago at a middle school game and I have definite knowledge that it was dealt with... :argue:

I'm not sure how they do it geographically, but the call went out two or three years ago for realignment, eliminating three team districts.... This prevents the top seed from getting an automatic berth to the region... :walk:

I was also outside the gym. Cov Cath Security was immediately there and there was an escort for the officials to and from the locker room.
