I think Poynter was head coach somewhere in Eastern KY before Trimble. I am not saying that just because you have head coaching experience you are or should be a head coach somewhere else. What I was trying to say is that there are many other things that go into being a head coach or having the qualities a school wants for a head coach than just being an assistant at a 6A school in Louisville.

Maybe the coach didnt have what the committee was looking for? Just being an assistant at a 6A school in Jefferson County, doesnt qualify somebody for a head coach!

I am sure it is not easy. I am sure they are doing everything possible and in the process of hiring. Like the other jobs that are open,(Harrison and South Laurel) it would be nice if the school or person in the know, provided a tentative date for hiring. Then those who care about the program or programs can put their faith and support in the committee and principal. They can then know when to expect something and if they can't hire by that date, then they would set another date or at least inform the community/parents/players.

I dont care who or when they hire somebody. Only that if I was a player, parent or Trimble football fan, I would want a timeline as to when to expect a new coach. The same for South Laurel and Harrison.

I agreed with you. I am sure he is getting a sweet deal. The super there runs that place anyway she sees fit. Its funny that they are bringing in Whitaker and his wife, when they are getting rid of so many teachers and have been over staffed and over budget for so long.

Why else would he go, if not head coach in waiting.

Players deserve to know first. Just reading the article that was attached, it seemed like they could have hired somebody this week. Wonder who will hire somebody first. Harrison, South Laurel or Trimble?:idunno:
