That's what I have over heard between coached talking. He's in football right now. Am I mistaken?

The boy who went to the hospital turned out to be ok. Looks like he had a concussion and when he hit the floor he lost his breath, paniced, and hyper ventilated. Very scary moment. Grant won the JV and Frosh game. Varsity game Highlands dominated. They controlled everything Grant did. They owned the boards and defensively was very physical. I could use the execuse for Grant that their leading rebounder from last year was out from sickness but I would also have to include Highlands is missing that 6'7 football player as well. Highlands looks to be very impressive this year!

Anyone know how the matchups will be on Wednesday? Don't know much about Highlands but I know Grant has some decent size this year. Will Highlands be missing some football players??

Anyone else go to the game. It was held tonight at 7:30. Rather surprising game, kind of physical for a scrimmage game with your teammates. I didn't realize how tall Grant was. They have some true height, about 6 guys around 6-3 and taller, very athletic too. Anyone else see or want to comment their opinion about what they seen?

Does SK bring anything or anyone back? I know they lost a ton of seniors last year!

I'm sure HC has improved a lot. But when I compare them to other 8th Region teams and what they bring back I don't see HC surprising too many people. IMO. When you look at what teams bring back from last year GC (Grant) brings back better/just as good than anyone.

Your saying Owen is better than the returning Region champs and Anderson?? Owen may not even be the best All "A" team let alone best team in the region...

You can't count out a team this early when season hasn't even started. I def don't think they are one of the premier teams this season representing the 8th. But they do have a shot, just depends on who gets hot in March.

IMO Watkins and Cornbread are the 2 best officials in the 8th.

His reply was stating Penny's stats. He wasn't putting down Gallatin or Maddox...we know who won that game...

Both are very nice players, but you can't compare a player that is having mid-major D1 schools looking at him (Penny) to Maddox. Maddox is a excellent ball player but is not D1 callibur.

They have a good senior class, height, leadership, good guard play. Time for them to put up some W's.

I agree 100%. Confidence is the Key factor for that district. Expecting to win determines so many games before they even start.
