I would think out of the 6th and 7th Regions, Ballard, Trinity and possibly Male. Waggener and Seneca will be very good but I believe there is some history between Waggener and Fairdale that will prevent them from being invited. Top teams in the Sixth region might just be Jtown and Butler. Fern Creek had 12 seniors on this years team. They have three very good sophomores to be in Rogers, Franklin and Washington. I don't believe they will be a front runner for the region this year. I also believe Larue County is a team that should be looked at. They are huge and have a lot of talented kids returning.

Manual built a 20 point lead in the 1st half, only to have Seneca cut it to 5 in the 4th quarter. Manual pushed it back out to 10. If Manual would have hit free throws better late in the game they would have won by 20+

Manual beat Tates Creek 78-56. I don't know who won the Shelby Co. Atherton game.

Hard for me to say this being a Crimson fan (lol), but Male should probably be top 5 or 6 in the 7th region. They have a very talented sophomore group and are well coached. Also, I believe Butler is probably top two in the 6th region. I think they will give Fern Creek a run for their money this season. Butler has two kids that deserve consideration for top 10 players in the region in Michael Burns and Jaquay Wales. Iroquois will be much improved also and will find its way into the top 10 of the region as the season moves along.

I dont really care if they play 8, 10 or even 12 minute quarters. I believe the real reason that most JCPS schools prefer to play 8 minute quarters when playing the Trinity's and St. Xavier's, is because those schools roll out close to 100 kids on the field when most JCPS schools have 30 at most. That being said, Manual has a very good freshman group. Four or five of them are seeing significant time on their varsity roster. Manual has maybe 50 to 60 kids in their entire program this year. What are the overall numbers at Trinity or St. Xavier?

Manual didn't play any sophomores. What X wanted to do was play 10 minute quarters instead of the 8 minute quarters that freshman normally play.

I believe Fern Creek wins the 6th and Chance Moore (FC) should be POY. I think Trinity wins the 7th Region and Jacquess Hobbs (Waggener) should be POY.

I believe Manual junior Jordan McClendon should be included in the best of the rest players. I think he will have a big year for the Crimsons. I also feel by years end he will be among the best players in the region.
