That message being "Fear us, look what we did to Eminence". I don't think that any team Trimble could face in the rest of the tournament would be intimidated by that. It's Eminence. They haven't won a game all year and I cannot recall the last time they beat Trimble, so I doubt this was payback. Just a coach getting caught up in the moment and not doing the right thing. Sad.

Hopefully W-V is starting to get healthy. The improvement in play from Monday to this game was immense. It coincided with the return of Mullikin With a few more pieces scheduled to return before too long, things are looking good for the lady bearcats.

I heard it from a reliable source that preliminary examination shows no indication of legament damage and that an MRI is scheduled to confirm. Hopefully just a severe sprain. Hailey is a great person who has worked incredibly hard to get where she is. Hopefully she recovers quickly.

After losing a ton of talent to graduation the past two years and with a very difficult schedule, things could be tough for this years lady bearcats. Good coaching, a tradition of winning, depth, and solid young players will be the bright spots as they get more game experience and figure things out throughout the season.

I've always thought St. Henry should be a force in Northern KY similar to NCC, Brossart, and Holy Cross Tons of talent coming from a great feeder system, Class "A", private, nice facilities, but they have just not performed like their sister schools. I think that is about to change under Coach Sturgeon. New Coach, new attitude, new style of play, this evolution should be fun to watch.

What business is it of the MS principal. If the players parents want it, and the player wants it, and the Head Coach wants it, what say does some selfish MS Principal have in the decision making process. He is probably interested in winning MS championships or some other none sense. If a 7th grader at HMS was ready for HS mathematics would he hold her back?? This is total Oscar Mayer Bologna!!! I also find it ironic that this is happening at Highlands when their coach is the poster child for the benefits of moving someone up when they have the talent.

My point is that if a program has to play middle schoolers at the varsity level, that it may (notice I said MAY) be indicative of the program being down. There are always exceptions and exceptional players who can put up big numbers at the varsity level even though they are still in middle school, ala Jaime Walz, but more often than not, it is a sign of a struggling program.

Basketballislife, I saw your similar thread about cooper kids moving up. Isn't this just as indicative of the state of the program as it is the talent of the 8th graders who are moving up.

Knowing the Boone County School Districts stance on moving middle schoolers up, they must be going to be varsity starters. What, if anything, does that tell us about Cooper

Gallatin plays a tough schedule and will benefit from it come tourney time. Non conference out of district teams include SK, Holmes, Montgomery Co., Campbell, and Cooper, It doesn't get much tougher than that and should help them against their Class A and NCKC opponents.

No doubt about it. I even think possibly lower. Where is williamstown on this list. They have a very talented young te and a solid young coach.

Gallatin is not flying under anyone's radar. They are easily the favorite to win the A, and depending on the draw could make it to the regional final where a hot shooting night and an off night by their opponent could put them in the sweet 16. I don't think that is under the radar.

I agree completely. Anderson and SK stand apart from the rest of the herd in the 8th. Gallatin, oldham, WV, and all the rest are not in the same league. I'm just hoping they are opposite one another in the Regional Bracket. A long way away I know, but they both appear to be head and shoulders above the rest and I'd love to see them go head to head in the Regional Final.

If my sources are correct, WV only returns one starter from last season and has lost a ton of talent over the past 2 years.
