Boone vs Dunbar scrimmage

Featured Replies

Did anyone go to the BC vs Dunbar scrimmage? I'm curious to know how both teams looked.

Tight lipped! Did it not happen or did no one go?

It happened. My hypothesis is Boone didn't play well and the Rebel faithful don't want to discuss it. Can't figure out any other reason that no one wants to share.

Could possibly be that there aren't many Boone folks on this board. I saw Boone in a scrimmage last night, they looked solid, and well coached as usual.

I was told the scrimmage was competitive but Boone was hot and up by 12 when Coach Fookes pulled the starters.

I assume you mean the Dunbar scrimmage? I watched Boone scrimmage Gallatin on Tuesday night.

Yes. Maybe I missed something in this thread but I thought it was about the Boone/Dunbar scrimmage.

What can you tell us about the Boone/GC scrimmage?

You haven't missed anything, I was just making sure there wasn't any confusion related to my first post. My apologies if I came across as a threadjacker. The Boone/Gallatin scrimmage was very competitive. It was played like a regular game, four 8 minute quarters. Gallatin won 55-51. Boone shoots pretty well from the perimeter, as does Gallatin. Both teams play hard and are well coached. The final score doesn't matter, as both coaches will use this scrimmage to adjust and tinker to make their respective teams better.

Interesting, I was told Boone won the scrimmage against GC but you know how scrimmages go, no one seems to be able to agree on them.

Bad info. GC/BC played four 8 minute quarters, which finished with a 55-51 score. An extra 5th quarter was played with the score reset, for the purpose of BC and GC letting their Varsity subs get more quality floor time. GC's top 4 players, and BC's top 2-3 players did not play in the extra quarter, which BC won by a score of 17-3 or something like that. Sorry, did not intend to make a big deal out of a scrimmage. Good luck to Coach Fookes and her team, she is a class act. We really enjoyed hosting her and her team.

I can see both points of view on that though I agree GC had the edge in the "4 quarter varsity scrimmage". Both teams are going to be competitive ... Good news is we get to start this for real this week...it's gong to be interesting to see what the first few weeks bring!
