Well apparently there was enough up roar about it that there was a meeting on Thursday night and enough parents came out concerning it. I'm sure there are a lot of classes in school that some people may not get anything out of but if you look at the scholarship list at GCHS this year, 2 full pages and 90% of the scholarships for college has something to do with farming. So apparently someone thinks it is important. And what does this bold statement mean anyway?

I hope you don't think that I'm being negative and not supportive of the GCHS football team. I don't believe you will find anyone more supportive of the team than myself. The only thing I said was that they were going to have Ag on a Cart. Anytime you take away from another teacher and another program then you make some area of the school weaker, that was my comment. I am not trying to knock anything down especially concerning the football program.:irked:

How many new seniors are coming out? I heard that 2 seniors quit and that they won't be playing next year and that one senior has an injury that will keep him playing? What do we know about this?

I'm not Coupon but I do agree with you, weightlifting is part of their schedule but you have to run it correctly not half done and yes you have make it a competition so that they compete. Winning will bring that but so will the attitude of the coach and those that surround the coach.

I want to add this thought to this thread, the pep section for Lewis County was awsome. They really were behind their girls and it showed. Congratulations for the team spirit.:banana:

I want the new coach to succeed, I want the kids to have everything they need to succeed. I want to stay positive about the program and all the people involved with the program. :clap:

Wow, people, I knew that it was a joke concerning how much money they do raise for themselves, believe me I know how much this program costs and education costs. I'm all for helping the students at Greenup County High School, I guess I'm old school the reason for a school is education not sports.

I don't believe football is the biggest, I believe it is Cheerleading - I know they have to bring in the bucks so that they can compete. :idunno:

In these days and times we all must be reasonable concerning money, and the BOE is just like the rest of us. I agree about the No turf but we do need some lights and bleachers - this is a must.
