What was the score for the Dixie/Lloyd game?

I think to some extent it, your perspective on how to run it is based on your past experiences and such. I played basketball in Ohio, and then coached in Ohio. I like the superdraw they do, and how it is seeded by the coaches. Most Ohioans look over the river and think the KY way is crazy and confusing. I was one of them. Being over here for almost a year now, I am picking it up. And I am sure a lot of KY people look over to Ohio and think there way is crazy and confusing. I personally like seeding. However, reading some postings on here, I understand why some of the small schools prefer random draws because it is the only chance they have a lot of the time to get a banner. It all depends on perspective I guess.....

I don't know, I thought I read on one of the posts about the Ludlow vs. Dixie championship game. I just assumed the Dixie blowout was over. Nothing against Lloyd, but they got beat by 30 earlier by them. They seem to have quit late in the year, not even getting out of the 20's in scoring.

I think she has not come close to her potential. I haven't seen all the teams play in NKY, but if I was a college scout, she has the tools to be a legit recruit! She is fun to watch! Good luck to them as they roll into Regionals! Hopefully as a District Champ!

Big time players show up in BIG GAMES......and hopefully they take it to Dixie. Isn't Dixie like 3 times as big?

How do players get selected for All Conference? How many get chosen? Is it by District or Region?

I agree, a seeding there seems logical also, but that is just my opinion. Have the coaches in the Regional vote and seed them.

Being new to the format that they are in now (formerly of Ohio), I think the District format is going to be hard to get away from......KY is big on tradition (and rightfully so). However, I agree, all districts should either seed or draw. Seeding seems to be the heavily favorite way of doing it here on BGP. The one drawback to Districts instead of an open draw with classes like Ohio is that some Districts are weaker and some are stronger.....but my main issue would be that all Districts should seed!

After reading a few postings on here about some mid-season coaching changes, I was just curious on if people felt much good ever comes out of this for the players? I know sometimes coaches leave for other non-coaching jobs, step down due to illness, or are removed for violations. But are there ever any positives?

While I agree it is hard to beat a team three times in one year, especially when the games haven't been blowouts, I still go with Ludlow. I think Villa will have a great game plan and will make Ludlow beat them. IMO it will be a close game (5-10 points). I don't think Daughtery will be the star, I look for someone like Clary to come up huge and be the star for Ludlow! Should be a good game I can't wait to be there to watch it!!!

I will agree with that.......but I will say IMO, I would be thinking * by my name if I got in to regionals by default (knowing that the two best teams were drawn to play each other in the first round). If I were a small school AD, you are right I would fight the seeding out of greed or want for that extra money. No doubt. That still stinks for the kids that work hard and then get a bad draw. Bottom line, Highlands/NCC are better than the other three. Which makes me wonder, why do they even play each other in the regular season if it doesn't go towards seeding. If I was Highlands/NCC I wouldn't schedule them. Winning by 20 to 30 plus does them no good......

Glad school administrators are in it for the kids. I mean without them they would have NO JOB. We keep hearing "kids first" in schools, but that is obviously not always the case. So the kids that deserve to be there aren't.... GREED....... :mad:

It also enters in with the 34th district. Why? Because it is a valid debate..... But to the game, seeing both teams play, I think it will be a good game. I don't know if I can predict a winner. It is post season, every game before means NOTHING......

Not sure it is "in theory".....more like a fact. Check the records and check schedules......the reality is that NCC would beat any of those other three teams. So someone is going to get an "easier" first round game in the Regional Tournament..... I don't understand why some districts seed and some do not. It should be standard.....again, it hurts the kids by not seeding....
