Mcfarland seemed to have an attitude problem especially with the refs. No matter how bad the refs are you can't lose control in a big game like this one.

Highlands- Kind of a bold prediction here but i think the bird will have a very good season with Senior pitcher Thomas Towells on the mound who throws 84-87mph consistantly, they should be tough to beat. Besides thomas towles who does highlands have on the mound? its hard to win a region with one pitcher... highlands maybe good for an upset but def not for a championship

Coach Henly is a very good coach and does alot for those boys down at holmes. I take holmes by 8

Boone seemed to put there attention on a few key players and the rest of the team stepped up big time (Stephens, Brake, Broyles) to really hurt the rebels.

This is not to surprising Conner at home in post season is always tough and you can never count out Coach Hicks and the cougars.. they play tough for the entire 32 mins... Boone played very sloppy tonight (Fouls) and that hurt them in the end... great win for the cougars and looks like Boone will be watching the post season from the stands once again!!

It is to my knowledge that several boys from boone are sick and were not at school the past couple of days.. Idk how this will play and come into effect but we will see thursday

Congratulations to the Lady Cougars !! Way to go. The team is quick and needs to be given more credit for their outstanding teamwork. Keep up the good work ladies!!!

I am not sure how Ryle is this year but I watched the Cov. Cath/Conner game and probably the biggest disappointment besides Conner losing was Luke Maile. From all the hype about this kid he played poor only having 2 points both from free throws. I don't know how Ryle is but I think a starter like that needs to step up to beat Ryle because they have been tough in the past and have had a decent program than can hurt you if you have an off day.

We talk about Cov Cath and Ryle alot here is there any other kids in the region that Conistently throw 80+?

I was at the game. It was a very exciting game close down to the last seconds.. Great game to watch!

The only problem I see with Ryle being number 1 In the 9th region for the 2008 season is that most of their returning lineup has little to no varsity expiernece. A few players saw time but most the players don't have the playing time as the team that won the 9th region last year. They are a good team I just doubt that they have the expiernece to win big time games in big time situations. I predict Covington Catholic to win the 9th region, they are a very talented team that are solid in almost every area of play.

The Courtney Anderson issue...he will not be playing for Gallatin County, and not for the Cougars either. I heard he didn't show up to try-outs, or the first week of practice.

I do not under estiamate the potiental that highlands has.. all i am saying is that it will be tough to when a region with one pitcher.. this goes for any team.. it will be hard because of the back to back games.. never under estimate a opponent but all i am saying is the road for a region championship will be tough and one pitcher normally cant get it done!

I don't think any team with one pitcher and one power hitter like Highlands can be considered a contender.

What do you consider Highlands then?

Besides Highlands and Dixie...Is there any other sleeper teams to win or have a legitimate chance to be a contender?
