That seems to be a problem across most of Bracken sports DESIRE.

I think the Polar Bears are playing their talent and are not concerned with just playing upper classmen.

Congratulations to the Britt kid. Bracken just did not perform in this game. This should have been a really close game and a nice game to see. I expected more out of Bracken than this.

Looks like the DB coach is going to have his hands full with such a young group of guys especially with Lewis coming up. They are going to be all over the Bracken DBs if the coaches cant get things straightemed up.

I checked 71 yards gets you in the books 85 yards and your the #1 man in the state. Better get a little more leg on the kid.

it was for Trimble not for him, not a normal night for him from what I have seen in the past. It was a great punt though.

Didnt you think he was down when he fumble on the 1 yard line??? I thought he was down but they gave Bracken the ball. Maybe it was the angle I was at.

The hi-lite of Brackens nite was the Breeze kids 67 yard punt according to the paper. The kid was standing on his own 21, 22 or 23 yard yard line and it looked like it hit in the air around Trimbles 25 yard line then rolled to the one foot line. Pretty impressive punt for a HS skid I thought. I am sure he gets plenty of practice because Bracken punts a lot. He struggled with getting them off after that because Trimble was all over him the rest of the night.

Oh well I guess they are just trying to play. Your right I guess they are not as good as they sound then.

Its a shame if they did only play 7th grade teams. I would think the coach would want to play a competative schedule of somekind. Of course they are a 7/8 grade team so maybe thats ok. I was at Bracken and Casey Co game and the annoucer there said that they had a good season but i didnt hear anything from the people about only playing 7 grade teams. Can Bracken Co really afford padding up 2nd,3rd and 4th graders? Where will the coaches come from?? I thought they were short on coaches already.

Yes congratulations to the Bracken Middle School Program I heard both 5/6 and 7/8 had winning seasons. Looks like Coach Faust is doing a good job at building his feeder program. I heard the 5/6 graders played with the Mason Co teams and played well. Bracken may have something going right for them now as long as the parents dont start jumping in and ruin it for them. A little success will bring people out of the woodwork with bigger and better plans for the program instead of just keeping it simple and building it.

I would say from what I seen no. Lewis will probably wear them out by throwing because BC has a freshman at safety and the other corner #28 (Budd I think) struggles at his position. Unless Bracken can put some pressure on the Lewis QB they will be throwing all night long.

The Breeze kid made too many tackles at corner for this team to be successful also. A little imagination inplay calling would also help this team.

I think this is his second season there. I do agree either go JV or run independent wouldnt hurt.

Do these schools have good baseball and basketball teams too? If so then I agree maybe the AD's do need to meet. It takes time to get a program going after you first take it over that is where Bracken is at this time. Gallatin is having a great season and my hat is off to them but most new programs do not start out this way. Look at Mason Co when they started out, it took time. Gallatin will win this game by whatever they want, too many starters from Bracken out to make them even competative.

Everyone has an opinion your right. I use the word bashing because when you start taking games away from a bunch of 12 - 13 year old kids because in your opinion you dont think they should count is in my opinion an attempt to start bashing them for what they are doing. My hat is off to the little guys and their coaches for turning their program around. Congratulations on your wins guys and dont let anyone take anything away from you because they dont like the little bit of success you are trying to have. Whats the coaches names again for these guys I want to shake their hands.

I guess the only comment I can make here is unless we are in the Bracken program we dont really know whats going on. All In you seem to know someone involved with Bracken Football whats the deal down there why are they all hurt and when are they going to be 100%. Let get the real facts.

Lets do clarify the administration in place supports football 100%. New equipment room, new locker room. These were not built because they were not supporting the program. The old AD is gone which was totally against football, just ask anyone in the football program and they will tell you that. The school and Board is for football 100% this is obvious just show up and look around.

Hey is that the new rule if you have girls on your team then you cannot count them as wins. Someone better call Holy Cross and Mason Co and inform them so they dont get any of their wins taken away this year. Better yet better call a bunch of MS teams all across KY and tell them if they have girls their wins dont count. Really ALL IN to start Bashing the MS guys is stooping a little low.

I dont think Sticks is a DR. (could be wrong but I doubt it) so I am not sure he will be able to give you a good answer for this one All In. What kind of question is this anyway? Could anyone really answer this question realistically on BGP that is not directly involved in the Bracken football program? Here is the best answer A kid was playing football and he got hurt. Ok I used the wrong word "re-building". They are trying a second attempt to build a program that was not managed well by the previous coaching/admin. who also got beat very badly on a weekly basis. Anytime that your program is very bad and then it is handed off to another coaching staff it usually takes a littl time to get it running. How long did it take schools like Mason Co., Dayton, Bellevue, Newport and Ludlow to be competative in football after they started football??? By no means am I Bashing any of these fine schools I was just wondering if anyone out there knew.
