they put #79 (Corey Jones) back on the line because the line wasnt strong enough... he is a great blocker along with #63 protecting the backside the line is now strong on the left and right with them two seperated and the raiders are able to run the ball on both sides of the field!! :walk:

Trimble was able to use the week of fall break to develop a gamate of offensive options. QB Justin Hawkes had a nice game, both passing (connecting with 5 different receivers) and rushing 13 times for 85 yards. Sophomore Michael Edens had 148 yds on 10 carries and one nice pass reception for about a 45 yd TD. Peters had two TD receptions. Larry Sullivan had one and a nice fumble recovery touchdown. The Raiders ended up with over 400 yards.

 

Defensively, Jon Ball led the way with 8 tackles, Larry Sullivan added 5. Jordan Bray made some nice plays, including being involved in causing BC fumbles and recovering them. The Raiders' D held the Polar Bears to 47 total yards.

 

Congrats to the Raiders. Nice job, Coach Poynter, in getting them refocused and back on track for the job at hand.

It is hard to move such a phenomenal lineman away from the line. However, I doubt that we have seen the last of Corey "Thunder" Jones as FB. :thumb:

The hi-lite of Brackens nite was the Breeze kids 67 yard punt according to the paper. The kid was standing on his own 21, 22 or 23 yard yard line and it looked like it hit in the air around Trimbles 25 yard line then rolled to the one foot line. Pretty impressive punt for a HS skid I thought. I am sure he gets plenty of practice because Bracken punts a lot. He struggled with getting them off after that because Trimble was all over him the rest of the night.

Didnt you think he was down when he fumble on the 1 yard line??? I thought he was down but they gave Bracken the ball. Maybe it was the angle I was at.

it was for Trimble not for him, not a normal night for him from what I have seen in the past. It was a great punt though.

I checked 71 yards gets you in the books 85 yards and your the #1 man in the state. Better get a little more leg on the kid.
