  1. Grant Logan is not a quarterback. He is a WR. He's not the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th choice at QB.
  2. Rouse did look rusty at times, but he has been out a few weeks and he is expected to be back up to speed. Amazing that he was able to actually come back and play though.
  3. You have got to be kidding me. It seems like every week you get on here and bash Ludlow or Borchers about something. If you want to say Ludlow is struggling, you had best say Bellevue is struggling too and it doesn't look like things are going to get any better for them. I also don't think you have any right to ask if Borchers job is in trouble in this thread. Start a new one, don't come into a thread talking about the Ludlow-Grant game and start bashing the coach or the team. Remember, these are high school kids and they also get on here and read what you have to say. Maybe you should think about some things before you actually post.
  4. I agree. Especially when it comes to coaches. I would seriously like to see some of these "fans" that claim they can be a better coach actually break down film, study players and plays and try to find a weakness, then try and motivate the kids each and every week to go like its the last play they will ever play. A lot of the times the parents or fans say that they can coach better than the coaches, but those coaches are on the sidelines for a reason. I think they know what they are doing.
  5. It'll come with time for Brossart. They are only in their 2nd year as a program right?
  6. A win in district or in the remaining four games?
  7. I agree, if you look at 1A in NKY, there is no doubt in my mind it is one of the strongest classes in the state. I've always liked watching smaller schools over the bigger ones because you get to see these kids play their hearts out everyday.
  8. Rouse got hit on that throw. Had he not, that might have been six for Ludlow because Trammel had his man beat. Great game defensively for Dayton. They knew Ludlow was a pass first team and they came out and stopped the pass. Who is that #75 for Dayton? He's a big kid with a good football build on him.
  9. Grant is a vital piece to the Ludlow recieving core. All the coaches feel that while he is smaller than they would like, he has game breaking ability. As for Buddy being the 3 or 4 receiver, in this style of offense there really is no clear cut number 1 WR. Each week a different WR could be the #1 option. It really depends on who is running their routes the best and what the defense is giving them. I would have to say one of the areas I've been most impressed with is the offensive line. While Ludlow hasn't boosted huge running numbers, they have done a great job pass blocking for Jarrett and the wide recievers. I would venture to say that this is the deepest the Panthers have been at reciever in a very long time. Any one of the WR's has the ability to turn a 6 yard catch into something more and score when the ball is in their hands.
  10. First off, when it comes to smaller schools like Ludlow, Bellevue, and Dayton, the game is always going to be a battle. These games are very rarely blowouts because put all their bodies on the line. Second off, when it comes to starting some type of a little feud between Borchers and Eckstein and who could outcoach who, i'm sure if you were to ask either coach, they would both say they respect the other coach and they are actually friends outside of football. So let's go ahead and drop that discussion. Third, it should be a great game Friday. I look forward to finding out who won this game. And there is really no reason to be taking personal jabs at the other team. I know that both of these programs teach class to their kids and coaches and I'm sure they would want their fans showing the same class.
  11. I believe he was stating that it was 27-20 before Bellevue put them away. If you want to play the turnovers game here, Ludlow is +8 in the turnover department. It will be an even game.
  12. I would have to agree with you for the most part. Beechwood 42 Dayton 7 After seeing Daytons offense this year, I don't believe they will be able to move the ball at all against Beechwood untill maybe the reserve team is in.
  13. Ludlow 14 Bellevue 13 It will be an absolute battle on the field this friday. Its at Ludlow, so i'd have to give them the edge. I don't expect a lot of offense from either team. I expect to see both defenses do their fair share of stopping the opposing team.
  14. There is no doubt in my mind the Panthers can make that jump. As most know when it comes to Ludlow/Bellevue, it's a war on the field.
  15. Ludlow's defense improved vastly compared to last week. One of Carroll's three touchdowns was on a returned kickoff, so the defense allowed 17 points, which isn't the best, but they are showing improvement every week.
  16. Montooth had a few catches for around 80 yards and a touchdown. He was huge on defense though with three interceptions. In total tonight, Ludlow's defense stepped up when they were called upon. The had a total of seven interceptions. Montooth with 3, Helmer with 1, Dunn with 1, Banks with 1, and Grant Logan with a huge 60+ yard interception return for a touchdown to close the game. The score doesn't really tell the whole story as it was 26-24 Ludlow most of the game. Coach Randy Borchers has always coached that teams that win the game in the 2nd and 4th quarter are the teams that will win the game. Ludlow scored three big touchdowns in the 4th to put the game away. 4 of the 5 teams out of Ludlows division are now 2-0. (Ludlow, Bellevue, Dayton, and Beechwood.)
  17. Should be a good game. Ludlow comes off a big win, and Carroll is coming off a tough loss. I know in years past, Carroll and Ludlow has always been a battle.
