Yes, that was really sweet, I forgot that one. It seems that play works twice a game for the Breds. I can never tell when it is coming and I look for it each game. It's very well disguised.

 

I agree he is underrated and is one of the more athletic kids on the team. He has been a major contributor this year and I think he will have a big game Saturday against Cooper. With him, McDonald and Schulte next year, it will be hard to find a bigger front line in the 9th region, if not in the state. With Pangallo running the point, things will be bright again for the Breds.

 

However, I have a feeling that this year is far from being over for NCC.

I was very impressed with NewCath's balance last night. If the Beuter kid finds his outside stroke, watch out. Seibert, Ryan, and Schulte look like they come from the same petry dish. Very nice players all 3, all with a very balanced game. If McDonald hits the weight room in the off season, he could be an absolute monster. He played that way at times last night.

 

The bottom line is that NewCath was the tougher team, mentally and physically.

 

I recognize you can't affect how much height you have, but CovCath needs to up the weight program for basketball. They have some nice athletes with good basketball iQ's, but they get pushed around a lot. If not for Massie rebounding from his guard position, I can't imagine what the rebound differential would have been.

 

If NewCath plays like they did last night, they will be tough to beat. I think Holmes will be the toughest match up for them.

Ruthsatz 3's in 1st half kept it from being ugly early.

 

Someone needs to tell Ryan There is more to the game than making 3's and running down the court with his wrist curled. This act is growing old I'm sorry. McDonald hit his FT's and played well on the big stage. Andy Miller is the glue for NCC. He is strong with the ball and scored a couple Big First half buckets. He corrals loose balls better than anyone I've seen this year.

 

With two minutes gone in the second half, New Cath's starting guards had scored only 2 points and they lead by 12. Brady had a big second half and Buter handled the ball well, but this again points to the importance of being patient ane working the ball inside out. NCC probably took less three's tonight than any game all year, but as someone else commented this may have been their best game of the year.

I can remember three times at least where the ball went to McDonnald and he found an open man for a score. After getting a second chance to start this year, Jake Schulte is playing like a man. Keep it up!

The Crazies were pretty subdued in the 4th quarter . I wonder how it was like going home covered in black body paint after a loss like that ?

They seem to handle the wins and losses pretty well. Usually after defeat they are shaking hands with the opposing teams fans. I know I am a homer for CCH but the boys keep it in perspective.

Don't have the stats but it was dangerous standing under the basket, the basketballs were flying past my head on those big blocks.
