Region Player/Coach of the Year

Featured Replies

I would have to say Taylor Robinson for player from Campbell County. That girl had two IMPRESSIVE steals back to back vs. Brossart in districts. She's a defensive standout, and such a good ball handler, with a good shot as well. And I believe she's only a junior.

I"ll agree Taylor Robinson is a great player, haven't seen some of these other girls play so I can't really comment on it. She is a junior so she'll have another shot next year.

To be player of the year I think you have to do more than have 2 steals in a game. Also, I do not think they look as much at your defensive stats (outside of rebounds maybe) as much as they do offensive stats.

doesn't matter...award went to Macie Spence of Montgomery County.

I never said you chose Carmack because shes from Deming. Also, if you look at Sticklen and only see scoring, you need to look againI.

Curious on what info says Macie Spence won POY?

The 10th Region coaches association does not chose a player of the year.

The listing of the first team all region is listed in random ordet NOT by votes received.

KABC award winners is won by top SENIOR player.

Do not know of any POY for 10th Region girls basketball that includes all grade levels.

Josh Feldmann of Brossart won 10th Region Coaches Association COY as voted on by 10th Region Varsity Coaches.

Scott Collins of Pendleton County won the KABC COY as voted on by 10thRegion members of the KABC.

This was I was told by someone. I do know that Sarah Sticklen got POY from KABC.

Congratulations to Sara Sticklen for winning Player of the Year from KABC.

Taylor Robinson of Campbell Co. should have been POY

Taylor Robinson of Campbell Co. should have been POY

KABC is seniors only.

No other POY award available.

Congrats to Ms. Stricklen.

What did Pendleton do special? Weren't they like 13-18 or something?

Pendleton graduated 75% of their scoring and 60% of their rebounding from the team that went to regional semis for only 4th time in school history.

Coach Scott Collins team returned only two players from that team who logged any significant minutes.

They were young and inexperienced with scoring questions to start the season.

They stood 13-12 with two weeks left in the season when ballots were cast by fellow coaches.

They had victories over Brossart, Harrison Co, Deming, Mason Co, all who played in regional tournament.

A late season swoon did drop their record to 13-18 to finish the season.

Sarah played for Bracken County.

Very deserving for a great young lady. One of Bracken Co finest and sure HOFer in 5 years.
