As the proud grandfather of a brownie, what the H is wrong with these people. What the H is wrong with the people of Ft Wayne that they would elect this nutjob. Also, what is wrong with having the First Lady as honorary head. If memory serves, the President is honorary head of the Boy Scouts. That does not cause my two Eagle Scout sons to want to turn in their badges.

As a former Girl Scout, I'd like to tell him face to face what's wrong with him....in nice terms, of course.

The GS have changed big time in the past 20 years or so. It led to the creation of the American Heritage Girls which are a much more conservative option.

My girl is a brownie and don't even know what those things are. She promotes

cookie sales.

I remember those days. We've handled literally thousands of boxes in our time.

I'm paying my daughter $50 to not join the Girl Scouts, but it's because I don't want the hassle of selling cookies.

I've NEVER seen that in in all my years, and I was a Girl Scout, my daughter was a Girl Scout, I was a Girl Scout Leader for several years, and now various second cousins are Girl Scouts.

Tough to prove that no one has done it. My daughter was a GS and is now a Brownie leader. No evidence any of it is true.

Wow, and to think I just thought they promoted eating lots of tasty cookies this time of year.

When my now 22-yr-old daughter was very young I told her I'd buy her any and all sporting equipment she needed as long as she didn't grow up to get involved in cheerleading. Worked.

Not sure about all of it but some of it is true. My wife ran into some things during her 18 years as a leader but we've been out of it for a couple years. He obviously over hypes it though.
