Is it selfish that she wants to play basketball, so I help coach a practice one night per week & a game one day per week?

You awful person! :D

The kicker my son won two championships in baseball under the age of 10. His last year he made the plays/hits to win it. He later told me I want to quit baseball and play soccer. Broke my heart I love baseball and played all my life, but he played what he wanted to, not what I wanted.

What was your reason for not wanting her in cheerleading? My 6 year old is starting to get involved in sports and cheerleading and need to know what I'm missing.

Mainly, I like sports and not cheerleading.

It was also a great bonding experience for us that I would not have gotten had she gone the cheerleading route.

Then you have all of the seemingly required dance and gymnastics classes that you have to go through to cheer.

Then you have all of the drama.

Not for me.
