February 16, 201214 yr I'm still not seeing the great recruits he brought in. He couldn't even convince the best players in this state to play for UK. I'm not buying that he'll be missed all that much. UK is going to go from the cellar of the SEC East to the cellar of the SEC East. What am I missing?

February 16, 201214 yr Being a good receiver and being able to recruit are two very different things. Tee Martin has the ability and communcations to recruit. UK will have a hard time replacing that... agree

February 17, 201214 yr Congrats to Tee. That's a good career move for him. I sure hope UK doesn't drop the ball and goes after former WR Gerad Parker. He played for Joker. Actually played WR. Actually coaches WR's at Marshall. I think it would be an upgrade as far as knowledge at WR. The people that know him know he has a contagious upbeat vibe. Great up and coming coach would be great for recruiting! He also was a GA at UK.

An SEC program, including a lower-tiered program like Kentucky, should not skip a beat when losing a position coach; however, from what I understand, Tee Martin was well-connected to the recruiting scene (including QB camps) and was well-liked by many. Although it's not a huge blow, it is definitely a loss from a recruiting perspective. With that said, if Kentucky is able to hire a good candidate, we'll forget about this in a few days.

Sounds like Tee is better suited for a school like USC anyways. I agree. I think his loss will be minimized with a good hire.
