So how did they fix the problem?

I've been told an new exhaust/fan was put in and we shouldn't have anymore issues. We will see I guess.

And Statman is correct, CCIR & TOG will eat on us tonight...Compliments of myself and Statman.

I'll say HC by 8, but if HC gets cold and starts to chuck up 3s like they did in the 3rd quarter agaiinst Bardstown they will be in trouble.

I think the game should be close, but I fear that HC could get out quickly and force CovCath into playing from behind. If that happens I could see HC winning by double digits. If CovCath can keep it close heading into the 4th, then its anyones game. More importantly if CovCath can keep this game close, the rematch in the 1st round of the districts will be anyone's game.

 

If this game ends up close I think the pressure in the district will fall on HC. They have had a fantastic season, but as we have all seen in the past one bad shooting night against a quality opponent and your "Dream season" can become a nightmare.

 

I'm rooting for a Colonel victory, but as long as it is a close game I'll feel good heading into the districts.

I'd expect pretty vanilla game plans from at least one if not both coaches and predict a single-digit victory by the Indians. While winning this game is big for fans and players alike, I suspect that neither coaching staff wants to expose their hands too much with the district rematch looming out there a couple weeks down the road. In the grand scheme of things this game doesn't mean much if your eye is on the bigger prize, which I'm sure it is for both squads.

 

All you need to do is look at HC's regular season win last year in Park Hills that didn't amount to a hill of beans when the district's rolled around. The first time match up between Goetz and Coach R does provide some intrigue though.

I don't really understand that line of thinking when it comes to basketball. Each team knows the other very well. Most seasons these two teams go at each other twice a year. It's not secret what the other team wants to do. The bottom line is execution.

 

Sure, you may put in a wrinkle here & there for the districts, but I really don't think there's anything to "hold back" in a basketball game. With 25 - 30 games in a season, you're already VERY familiar with other teams in the region.

Should be a very exciting game that I am looking forward to. I am going with the upset. CovCath by 2 in OT.

I will throw some crazy talk in here. If Holy Cross loses this game, then their game against Beechwood becomes a must win if they want to avoid Holmes in the first round of district play. I know, I know .... I said it was crazy talk .... but ..... just sayin' .... Beechwood was a missed three pointer at the buzzer from beating Boone County, 19-5 and second best record in the region...

 

My point is, Holy Cross is playing to win this game and they aren't going to hold anything back if they need it to win.
