May 29, 201214 yr Are you talking about the Tim Couch bottle? 20,000 bottles were made. I have one and actually I was just at a liquor store this weekend that had two of them on left on the shelves. I know that Bluegrass Liquor Store by NKU had a few over the last couple of weeks.
May 29, 201214 yr No I think he's talking about the 46 bottle that is dipped. I think they only put out around 9,000.
May 29, 201214 yr Supposedly Maker's Mark is going to release the "official" National Championship bottle in October.

May 30, 201214 yr I'm a HUGE bourbon guy but I will never understand the collecting of full Makers Mark bottles. That stuff is made to be consumed...

May 30, 201214 yr It's a constant struggle.I gotten them a few times. All the bottles are empty now. I think people learned. The last one I got was a signed already empty Coach Cal bottle.
May 30, 201214 yr Author I'm a HUGE bourbon guy but I will never understand the collecting of full Makers Mark bottles. That stuff is made to be consumed... Me too. The only "collector" bottle I have is a Blanton's bottle that one of my friends' husband gave me for being in their wedding. The label says it was bottled specifically for me. ...that's not a service that the Blanton's folks offer. He had to pay off someone at the company to have the bottle made. Solid groomsman gift, if you ask me. I do plan on collecting myself one of these, though:

May 30, 201214 yr Author I could see myself hanging on to that. But knowing it was filled with 750ml of some of the finest bourbon ever made would make it REALLY hard... Yeah. It was really really hard actually. It's sitting on a shelf filled with tea now.
May 30, 201214 yr Supposedly Maker's Mark is going to release the "official" National Championship bottle in October. I just asked my wife (who works for Maker's) and she is not aware of an "official" bottle release in October.

May 30, 201214 yr I just asked my wife (who works for Maker's) and she is not aware of an "official" bottle release in October. I figured if they were going to have an official one, they would not have had this past one, but who knows?
June 13, 201214 yr Author For those in the Northern Kentucky area, Makers Mark is going to be stopping by Joseph-Beth Books at the Crestview Hills Town Center tonight starting at 6:00 with their mobile dipping station to hand-dip Maker's Mark merchandise in Maker's Wax. Items to be dipped have to be purchased at Joseph-Beth. I think I'm gonna stop in and see what they've got. Edited June 13, 201214 yr by Colonels_Wear_Blue Added in time/date.
