January 22, 201214 yr   Agree on the Habib statement. He's the one who told me I can go back to bed. :ylsuper:
January 23, 201214 yr Weak in Republican primary voters' eyes. In the fall race, he is the stronger candidate. But can he get there? That is the battle Romney has always faced in trying to get the nomination. He doesn't appeal to the Republican right primary voter so he can't get the nomination. I agree with other posters. If Newt somehow wins the nomination, it is a slam dunk for Obama in the fall. Women voters and the middle are not going to vote for Newt. If Newt wants to have any hope with women in the fall, he needs to tell his tart to go home and get out of the spotlight. Every time I see her next to him, I cringe. And I am not a woman. Your post is right on target. Romney is the only GOP candidate with a chance to win in November. Newt's hammering away at Romney in the debates has won this particular battle for himself, but I'm afraid he will lose the the biggest battle for the GOP when all is said and done.
January 23, 201214 yr This is why I love PP92. Where else can you find thorough analysis such as this? FWIW...Habib has this thing covered pretty well IMO.  Agree on the Habib statement. He's the one who told me I can go back to bed. Zack Morris always aims to please.
January 23, 201214 yr Also, new polls in Florida show Newt with a big lead. Obviously, we know how quickly those can flip, but Romney is now playing from behind.
January 23, 201214 yr If Republicans are stupid enough to nominate Newt they deserve 4 more years of Obama, and I'll do my part to make sure they get it.
January 23, 201214 yr If Republicans are stupid enough to nominate Newt they deserve 4 more years of Obama, and I'll do my part to make sure they get it. While I prefer Newt to Mitt, there's still a long way to go. And for someone with as big a mouth as Newt, there's plenty of times for him to stick a foot in it.

January 23, 201214 yr What are some of the things you dislike about Mr. Gingrich? I trust Obama more than I trust a word that comes out of his mouth. And I don't trust Obama at all. Other things: - He's always surrounded by controversy. Not something we should want or need in a Presidential candidate. - He has zero experience with how to turn around the economy. - He takes credit for successes that he virtually had zero role in.
January 23, 201214 yr I trust Obama more than I trust a word that comes out of his mouth. And I told trust Obama at all. Fair enough.

If so it wouldn't be the first time, nor the last, that it's happened.

January 23, 201214 yr In other words, he fits the presidential profile. Well, I also forgot to mention the biggest reason. He has zero chance of winning against President Obama.
January 24, 201214 yr If Republicans are stupid enough to nominate Newt they deserve 4 more years of Obama, and I'll do my part to make sure they get it. I wouldn't doubt if Obama's campaign advisors aren't secretly funneling money into Newt's campaign to help him in his quest. :idunno:
