What about Buckhorn? Their only loss this year is a 1 point decision to Lou. Holy Cross, and they've just won two games in Florida.

I agree, along with Buckhorn. BGP had Jackson City 16th, next to Riverside in November. They are now arguably top 5 in the region and atleast 6th or 7th. JBS is playing good ball now and Lee is having a great season. These 4 teams in the past were (most of the time) near the bottom of the region. I think the 14th Region gets the "Grammy" for the most improved teams in one region.

I agree no doubt....but it's Pendleton County. Losing record 5 years ago before Biggs took over. Now top 10 in state, coming off a state tournament appearance and #1 in the 10th region.

Pineville has made drastic improvments over the last 5 years. Coach J.D. Strange took over in the 2000-2001 season after Coach David Miller (coach at Carroll County) coached 3 years and only won 11 games. The Mountain Lions last year alone won 11 ball games on their way to a district runner-up. This year they are 8-2 and are a realistic threat for the 51st District title. And the best news here in Pineville is that the best is yet to come.

I agree with you ballhog...When I played we always killed JBS and just played Jackson City for a win because we werent very good....Now these teams arent easy to be at all and both of them have some very nice wins this season.

I agree with these in the 14th, with the addition of Buckhorn.

In the 14th I would also have to go with Buckhorn. I remember in Coach Noble's first season they only won one game beating Riverside in overtime. Now they are 9-2 with wins over Breathitt and Owsley, with a third place finish in Freeport Florida's tournament. The only two losses came to Louisville Holy Cross by 1 and a team from Louisiana who finished 2nd in the tournament in Florida.
