I can understand why HC wouldn't want to play at Holmes every year, but they might try and move it to a larger place like Thomas more, Scott, or Cov Cath. Don't see it happening, though. The only way is if both teams agreed to play at a neutral site every year.

I must have been one of the last ones in. My buddy and I got in right after the girls game was over. It was a nice cool 60 degrees in the lobby, walked up the steps and into a greenhouse.

The Martin kid for Holmes took two nasty spills right in front of me. One time Knox caught an inbounds pass for a wide open layup and wiped out.

I thought the game should have been stopped early in the first quarter. It even looked like the ball was slick.

Exhaust fans would help. Would a heavy curtain help in the entrance to the cool air from coming in? Also you have those two ext doors on the endline that I am sure get a bit drafty.

Tough deal but it was the right decision.

This wrinkle makes a rivalry special. Like when IU would not play UK in Lexington and the games were played in L'ville and Indy. Maybe the 35th should do a round robin at NKU over a weekend.

I would argue that the history of the teams in the 35th would justify a mid season round robin. It would be different than 33, 34,36. None of those districts have the winning tradition, bittter rivalries and high level of play that happens in 35. It would be special/unique.

It was pretty clear what Holmes was doing defensively. They were playing Campbell very physically down low with Knox. They denied him the ball really well. He only had 2 shots in the paint and was 1 for 2.. Holmes penetrated better tonight than they have all year. They were taking it to the hole. Campbell rejected a couple but Dogs got through some also. Campbell really slows them down ny getting down the court late, but he is a force defensively and when he gets it down low he is tough to handle. Holmes was figuring out getting Rice open looks on the baseline. Thompson was hot for the Indians. It will be interesting to see how this finishes because it looked like both teams had scouted well.
