What does that mean: "connected to the Ryle program". Fans? General public? Coaches only? Parents?

Those are my words, not something stated by Ryle. I am not connected with Ryle in any way. I am just trying to explain that my understanding is this isn't an open house trying to recruit players nor even something the general public would likely want to attend. It is a football program open house. Think team meeting with anyone connected to team members welcome to attend.

My take on the "Open House" is a challenge to all of the programs critics and behind the scenes naysayers to step up in a semi-private setting and make their feelings known. My guess is that the attendance might be "surprisingly" low. Lots of people will take shots, but very few will bring their issues to the forefront when the rubber meets the road and they have to put their face on their comments. Will be interested to see how this plays out.

Agreed. However, I think this solves nothing. If you say "well there must not be much wrong with our program" because very few showed up you are probably on shaky ground. Many parents will not show up for fear of the negative impact it COULD have on their child.

 

This open house does nothing for me. Not sure what else Bryson can do though.

Man so negative Clyde, Bryson and Ryle are attempting to open up the program to the entire community so they can learn more about what all the program is about which is more than just football. Maybe after Feb. 2nd we will have a better perspective on how the open house went and was it beneficial. I do not think Coach Warner is trying to solve problems by having it, just trying to get all stakeholders in the program involved and understand the direction of the program and his philosophies. I think it is great that he is doing this and it will pay huge dividends in my opinion.

Negative? Not even close. I said many that have issues with Bryson (fairly or unfairly) will not go to him. That's just logical.

Why have they decided to do this now? How long has Bryson been at Ryle and why now does he decided to have an open house?

I still contend this is not a good idea. Even the wording from the description on their website. Should have went a different direction IMO. I would have to think this will turn into a "private" open house. Members only kinda of thing. Just sayin!

As one who has questioned some things in Union I applaud Bryson's seemingly new approach and his effort to enhance communications. Sometimes you have to take a hard look with a critical eye at you as an individual. We all do. Bryson does and is.
