One of my fondest memories, a few years back, was my brother and I going to the UK-IU game at Hoosier Dome, Knight against Petino. I couldn't hear at all when I left the Dome.
December 16, 201114 yr My point is that if you're not going to ban it then it's useless to say "hold on, kids, and wait until everyone clears the floor." The number I heard was UK got dinged $50,000 since it was the 3rd offense for the football issue. It's not coming out of the kids pockets, so hard to keep them off the playing field.
December 16, 201114 yr For the record, I had no problem with IU fans storming the court. They worked hard during the game and deserved the celebration. Not to mention, it was a win over No. 1 Kentucky, a win over a rival and a buzzer beater.

As a UK fan I tip my hat to them and move on. I have never had an issue with rushing the court. I do have an issue with IU fans though. I've been to aboit 100 venues for college or pros and they are rudest most obnoxious fans I've ever been around. I was treated better by Philidelphia fans. Between Illinois and UK, I've been there 4 times. I go, I cheer for my team, I don't bad mouth the other team, I'm just there to support my team. Every time I've been cussed and screamed at to shut up, or sit down, or leave. And it's not just once and it's not just one or two people. I guess they've gotten their wish, because I can't see myself going back.
